its not on your list but jericho terrace has a beautiful room for that many people, and they are reasonable and give you alot for your money.
JT is soooo nice but when my friend had her wedding there there were 4 other weddings. I wouldn't mind one other wedding but I'd prefer mine to be the only one.
I hated that part of it..
As guests, going from room to room, constantly moving it around.. all we heard was like
'Smiths.... no? .. O`Donnells? No... Lopez? '
We felt like human cattle despite being close family of the bride. Plus- during quieter moments like cake cutting, you could hear the other party's music

Re: Narrowed down halls
North Ritz Club has one wedding at a time and holds up to 350. For a Saturday night in October we had to guaranted 200 and they would not negotiate the price (added options instead of talking down). We booked with them although they were one of the more expensive we found, but I wanted to be the only bride there and I needed a full Vienese Hour. They have one of the biggest around.

I'm going to see them but they seem like they will not budge with price. The Friday night price was in our budget but the Saturday was not and I asked them if they would be cheaper on a holiday wknd but they are not. I'm seeing it bc it looks gorgeous on the website and I mean we will def guarantee more than 200. I'm guessing I hope I love it and they lower the Saturday price as I do not want a Friday night wedding.
Westbury Manor was reasonably priced so I'm going to set up an appt with them. They are cheaper in August and Sept than May June and July but we are looking at June.
I don't need a Viennese hour... Do you think they would be cheaper if I said I didn't need that?

For March @ North Ritz I was quoted 115 For a Friday and 125 For Sat and 115 For SUnday- I belive im close to the exacts. I did not LIKE that the Viennese hour is not in the room of the Wedding. Its back in your coctail area. Plus you have to add the 20% and you have to add Matre D' fee. So see what he can do for you minus the Viennese hour. Its included so I dont think that it will be a big thing to just try and see. My date that I originally wanted was March 23,

I never went to look at North Ritz, but if Viennese Hour is included in the full price and not an add on then see how much it will be without. Also try asking them if the price per person would be less if you guaranteed more people.

Thank you- I am actually not looking @ March anymore though- now we are looking @ June. They quoted me $170pp for a Saturday night- yikes!

Re: Narrowed down halls
Is that + Tax + 20%?
They will definitely work with you on the price and throw some things in.

That's plus tax... not sure about the 20% but do I need to pay the 20% fee if I don't have Viennese Hour? is Viennese Hour the same thing as a cocktail hour?
My biggest concern is the Saturday night. I am willing to give up anything else to make sure I can get Saturday night at a good price.

20% is the service fee, all halls charge reguardless of what you add or take away. it has nothing to do with vienese hour.
your going to def pay more for a saturday in june. thats peak season, and most halls are not going to drop price bc they know they can book that room with someone else for a higher price. you might have to be a little flexible.
Also its easier to ask them to throw more stuff in then have them lower the price. bottom line is they have a bottom line, and they set prices based on demand.

Wow $170 pp is a lot. Did you end up checking the Crescent Beach Club? I saw it on your list and that place is huge. I didn't end up getting a quote from them because I couldn't meet their minimum (which is either 100 or 150 people), but it's right up the road from my venue, the waterview club, and the view is fantastic.
Did you look at Chateau Briand or the Bridgeview Yacht Club? They might be within your price range. Those are just two that come to mind in that area that would fit 250 people, but you have so many other options. Good luck!

Re: Narrowed down halls
The problem I have with bridgeview is mostly the location. The Barnum Island Wharf is a haven for teenagers between Coyote, Warehouse 5, Montego Bay & Paddy's...I wouldn't want them to be hanging out around the streets while my guests are entering or exiting.

That's totally understandable! I would just keep looking, and don't stretch your budget unless you have exhausted all of your options.

I'm a Saturday night in June so if you have any specific quote questions let me know! I only saw about 6 places but some of them are on your list!

I have not seen Westbury Manor yet but they quoted me @ $125pp for Saturday night May-July. It's $5 cheaper per person both nights if you get married in August or September.
North Ritz was the one that quoted me @ $170pp for Saturday.
Fox Hollow would not give me a quote over the phone. I am seeing them this weekend. What other places are you interested in?

Crescent and Lands End both on my list are a little further than I'd like to go but my sister saw Lands End and said it's beautiful- her 2nd choice and I love the beach so I thought Crescent would be great as well. ideally, would love to stay in Nassau but hey if I fall in love with something further out, I'm not opposed to it. (we're not getting limos so I hope to not to drive too far!)

Ok so I saw the Crescent Beach Club and I didnt like it... Nice but not my taste... And out of my budget anyway.
FYI they told me they do not have a minimum.

Re: Narrowed down halls
North ritz is my fave but also not in my budget. :(
So, so far only 1 place is in the running. As my mom said (about her and my father): 'we look poor right now, maybe they will feel bad for us' lol

Re: Narrowed down halls
I looked at the North Ritz Club in my search for my RH. It was very nice - it was my 2nd choice (I booked with Thatched Cottage). It might not be good for a larger party. The cocktail hour room may not be able to hold that many people. I read reviews saying even 150 guests felt tight. In order to accommodate more people they'll open up a side room with an additional bar, but the side room is small also. The main ballroom was very pretty.
