I've been to Villa Russo's for a sweet 16 and I enjoyed myself to the TEE!

Villa Russos is down the block from me-literally! My old job used to have their company Xmas party there. Its nice, the food is good!

I honestly didn't care for Astoria World Manor. Terrace on the Park and Douglastn Manor were both nice but over our budget. Did you check out Leonard's??? It's beautiful and the prices are extremely reasonable. Good luck with your planning!

Verdi's of Westbury. I didn't care for the outside and there wasn't anywhere for us to have a nice ceremony. Villa Russo is nice, just down the block from my house. They didn't have a ceremony area either, just in the reception room. I loved Caffe on the Green but they were way over our budget.

I really think you should do a search of all of those places on here before you see them. This way you can have an idea of what other brides went through and you will know what questions to ask them

All of those places are comparable in pricing with the exception of Terrace that place is about $20-30 more per person. I've heard some great things about the food and service but I've heard horror stories about the banquet manager and owner....Do a search in the bride's review board.

The only place on the list i've been to is verdi's and I been to both of them. They're both very nice places - good food too if I recall.

we had the prom at Terrace on the Park and it was really nice the food from what i remember was good but that was 6 years ago so things could have changed. but the view was amazing there.

I went to Caffe on the Green when I was looking and to be honest for what they were charging they did not give alot of selections of food. The lady who helped me was wonderful but I was not impress with the Menu Selection. But I have heard nothing but good things about them. You should check out Leonards like Maureen said. If you do not mind going to Long Island.

Re: Narrowing it down

Hey...i went to a brunch wedding on Saturday @ Renaissance of Astoria and it was terrific. The space is really nice (two levels, cocktails on upper level), service was fine, food good! It was very nice!
...Verdi's of Whitestone has delicious food and a really nice banquet room that can fit I believe almost 200 people. I also went to a party at Astoria World Manor last winter I believe. I remember it being very nice also! Hope this helps!
