Nassau Parks

Nassau Parks

As a shower idea, we are thinking of throwing my sister a Jack & Jill shower (she knows about it), this will make things so much easier the guestlists and other things. Instead of having it in either one of the parents backyard we were thinking of doing a park.

Does anyone have any experience with using the nassau parks for a party/event??

And how would you feel about going to a shower at a park???

The only thing that I would worry about is if it rains. Do you have a backup plan? Otherwise it sounds like a fun idea!

Forest City park in wantagh has a really nice seperate picnic area. We have our family reunion there every year. But you have to reserve it.

we have a hookup with tents (the big ones) so no matter what we would be putting it up just in case if it rains or if its to sunny for the older people

i worked at Wantagh Park one summer in HS. People would have parties there all the time but I remember people complaining a lot bc you needed permits for everything - a permit to BBQ, a permit to drink. i don't think it should stop you but i just remember getting yelled at a lot for wasted tax dollars when i was 18
