I am 50% Italian and the other 50% is a mix of Irish, Native American and French Canadian. My FH is 100% Portuguese. We are having both Portuguese and Italian cuisine served at our wedding. We are also incorporating traditional Portuguese and Italian dances.
FH is portugese also!!! We are having a number of portugese dishes at the CH and italian and portugese wines. I am thinking of making all the music at the CH Portugese also. I am italian and Irish. All the other food is mainly Italian. Plus Jericho Terrace is so Itaian.
Did you hear about the Portugese Cow Bell tradition ???
No I never heard of that, what is it?

Haha!!! They strap a cow bell on the brides neck and she has to act like a cow until her groom comes and claims her. Basically making us their possesion... something like that, its sick, and NOT HAPPENING!!!

omg def not doing that. I'm going to ask my inlaws about this one, I wonder if they did it when they got married. I went to a wedding in Portugal about a year ago and they def did not to that lol. Did u hear of the tradition with the garter to raise money for the bride and groom. The women and men go back and forth bidding for the garter to go up and down. The women give money for it to go down and the men give money for it to go up.
