Has anyone had the opportunity to do a trial with someone who was willing to listen to what you wanted? My daughter just had a trial the other day (she's a very natural looking girl - uses minimum amount of make up). She didn't even look like herself when it was over - no matter how many times she said it was too much, the girl refused to listen. I understand that the photographer's lights drowned you out a bit but that was ridiculous.

Same thing happened to me at a salon. I then had my makeup done at Clinique in Macy's. It was so wonderful that I hired Elizabeth for my wedding day. She definitely listened to what I wanted. It looked very natural. I heard of others having good experiences at other makeup counters as well.

Jeanne I used an airbrush make-up artist for my wedding in October. Her name is Louisa and she did a wonderful job. I to use little if any make-up on a daily basis and also wanted a natural look on my wedding day. She used an airbrush gun that sprays makeup on your face so lightly that you barly feel it. The outcome is great and it stayed on the whole night. She came to me the day of my wedding and did me and my entire bridal party including my mother and my husbands mother. If your daughter wants a trial Louisa works out of a salon in Syosset, called European Image but she will come to your house if you`de like her too. I would definately recommend getting trial I think your daughter will be very satisfied!

I had it done in the morning (11:30) and went to a party at night (7PM). I did touch up before I left (except the eyes). I probably could have gotten away with just touching up the lipstick and blush.
