Need '10er Wisdom

i specifically addressed my invites to the adults only
only kids we had were our first cousins

i actually only had one person pull a 'well if my fiance can't make it.. my son will have to be my date' (a 1 year old) ... and i said .. 'sorry, adults only' .. she was offended but got over it!

We just said it right from the beginning. It wasn't hard for us. Infact most of my and FH's family were glad it's night out for adults. If people decided not to come bc their kids weren't invited well they didn't tell us. And we didn't have that many No's (less that 20%)

Just stick to your guns and try not to make a big deal out of it.

Also a lot of FH's cousins have kids only one of mine does. So we just said First Cousin's only. This helped keep it adult only also and the numbers lower.
