Need a good Restaurant for our 1 year anniversary this Sunday!!!!
We live in suffolk but will travel... Very eclectic tastes (DH eats almost anything LOL) ..looking for some new suggestions, should be romantic but not over the top.. I remember someone mentioning sweet briar...in hauppage.
Any others???

Thai USA in huntington, blue honu, tello's, renaissance cafe, all huntington. monica bella across from ww mall. ships inn, northport, mariabelles in smithtown/st james, umm, that is all i can think of.

We just went to Mill Pond House on 25A in Centerport for my FH's b-day. It's was good! Newly redone, we got a seat by the window so we were overlooking the water, they also have outdoor seating if it's a nice evening. Really a quaint, romantic enviornment.
PS jessnjoey- we're getting married @ Atlantica too!!!

you can try sweetwaters..i believe its in hauppauge..they have a nice eating area outside.

My favorite snazzy 'special occasion' restaurant is Tupelo Honey in Sea Cliff.

Tellers is actually on Main Street in Islip--it is great. Also in Islip on Main Street is The Gatsby, which opened recently but which is amazing too.

We are going to Desmonds at the Inn at East Wind for ours. We had our rehersal dinner there- food was amazing.

My friend and I went to Gatsby, I wasn't impressed. My fave romantic restaurant is Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff. Make a reservation though, cuz in the summer it's packed.

Trumpets is a great seafood restaurant on the water in Eastoport or E. Moriches (I forget) very nice and romantic. The view is incredible and the food is even better. I would suggest reservations.
One of my favorites is The Clubhouse in Huntington because it's very intimate. I don't think it has more than 10 tables.

I agree, Trumpets is beautiful. You could also try Sempre Vivola in Hauppauge. DH took me there for my B-day last year and it was one of the most romantic restaurants I've ever been to. Service like you wouldn't believe. It was a little pricey but well worth it. Northern Italian cuisine...
