Need a realllllly cost effecient reception hall...any recommendations?

Original post by JulyBride728

Hey Girls,
a friend of mine is getting married, but has a reallly really tight budget. I mean really tight!
Please recommend some catering halls that is easy on the pocket, but includes, dinner and drinks... buffet/sit down dinner, doesn't matter.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Much thanks.

Danfords is very reasonable for what you get.

brentwood country club has a great package deal for the reception that includes photo, video, dj and limo--100 people for 10,000. at least, that's how it was when my cousin got married there.

What about Verdis...theres one in Westbury..which is a bit more expensive than the one in whitestone...

But the one in whitestone...we're talking about $60pp for a saturday night. I think the room holds up to 150ppl.

Dee I was gonna recc them also...it is family owned I had my shower there and it was pheneomnal...the food is out of this world and the service is top notch I highly recc them

Coral House was the cheapest quote I got. I don't remember exactly the number but I did remember that Sat or Sun afternoon after gratuity and taxes was around $65 per person

Coral House - for August 09 we got quoted $58/pp on Sunday and $68/pp on Saturday.

I would imagine out of Wedding Season they are cheaper than the prices shown above.

I've been to weddings and anniversary parties there and the food is pretty good. Good Luck!

I would also recommend Verdi's I have been to a couple of events there and the food is delicious. I think they just re-did the place and it looks really nice.

My family has had lots of events at Verdi's and we've always had a great experience. I would recommend them. You cant go wrong with their pricing.

A friend of mine had a similar situation and was able to get married on a Saturday night in July for $10k at Brentwood Country Club. It was a very nice wedding... I never would have guessed that it was a package deal and anywhere near the $10k mark!

I've also heard that The Coral House, The Swan Club, The Riviera and Chateau La Mer are very affordable.

Obviously, Friday night, Saturday Day and Sunday weddings will be most affordable. Good luck to your friend!

I think it was even lower than that in one room vs another. It was the most reasonably priced of all the places I looked too.

Tell your friend to be very careful when looking into those places that offer an all inclusive package. The numbers are deceiving because you think you are spending a little amount of money until you talk to the vendors and then when you start upgrading, it can start to cost a lot. I was thinking about Brentwood Country Club for my wedding because of the package but I began to notice that everything i like is an upgrade haha so i decided against it. A tight budget is workable you just have to do some research and talk to the places. I am going with the Meadow Club as well and they are great with working on prices in order to work into a budget.
