Okay, so I've received an FM from two different people telling me about 2 vendors I've talked about on here. One of the experiences I feel was something out of everyone's control in the situation, it could have been handled better, but I think the vendor was caught between a hard rock and whatever,,,,, you know the saying.
the other i'm a little concerned about.
A part of me feels that each experience is isolated and were all human and can make mistakes. No one is perfect and even professional vendors can screw things up. On the other hand, i feel like what if this happens to me.
Should I listen to them or just look at it from an objective perspective and do what I want?
Feedback please

Re: need advice
who knows...maybe they realized whatever it was that they did and know that they will not let that ever happen again.
i mean if you loved them and want them as ur vendor there is a reason.
you know?
so i would give ur vendor the benefit of the doubt

Re: need advice
Could you possibly bring the issue up to your vendor and discuss ways to prevent this from happening to you?
I agree, everyone makes mistakes. There will be both positives & negatives - I feel negatives can make someone stronger and better by learning from mistakes.
Good Luck!

I think you should go with what you want. There is always going to be negative feedback about a vendor. One or two or three situations depend on ALOT of things...including everyones preference, expectations., point of views..
Do what you think is right., use your gut.

I agree, go with what you feel. Im sure every vendor has had some type of negative review. If you are happy and you want them, go for it.

Re: need advice
this site is great in some ways but NOT so great in others lol
now, if you have read MANY bad reviews about a company THEN i would worry about it - but everyone is going to have an 'off' day and sometimes different people find different things important.
I have read bad reviews on every one of my vendors ( except my florist actually bc she is amazing, lol) but you just have to go with your gut!

I agree this site is great, but it can make you second guess what you've chosen. I also agree that all vendors get bad reviews

I've thought about that, but i t hink someone can get defensive maybe even insulted. There two sides to every story though. Hearing other people's feedbacks also help me think about how to cover myself so I don't make the same mistake or put myself in that situation.

I would hear the other opinions and keep them in mind, but i dont think it should sway you too much unless you were over the fence to begin with. Every vendor is going to have some good and bad reviews. if one vendor was perfect, we'd probably all use the same one! if you felt good about it previosly, i wouldnt second guess unless whatever it was seemed reallllllly bad.

Re: need advice
I would check the BBB to see if they have any complaints. I know a couple vendors on here that have a ton of complaints. I take BBB complaints a little more seriously because the vendor has to respond to the formal complaint and try to resolve it. Plus, any one of us can have a bad experience but, unless it is something really serious ... most of us wouldn't bother going to the BBB to report it. So, you can assume that most of the complaints on there are real issues.

I agree. There is at always at least going to be one bride who had a bad experience with a certain vendor. As long as you are happy with the vendor and had a good experience and there are not ALL bad reviews go for it

I totally agree. Well said girls. As long as you are happy then I wouldn't worry. Like the girls said if there were MANY bad reviews and hardly any positive ones then I would be worried.

Leticia....every vendor is going to have some bad reviews. I would do a detailed search and see what the majority says. If the vendor has gotten only horrible reviews I would be a little weary but if was only a few....mistakes happen and sometimes things can not be avoid.
