need an idea for Bridal shower gift

My friend got married last year and we wanted to do something a little different so each bridesmaid wrote a letter to the bride for future moments in her life. we tried to pare up the BM with experiances they would have a lot to say about.
ie our friend who got married 1 yr before wrote a letter for her to open on the day she got back from her honeymoon. She and I met in college and so I wrote one for her to open when she sends her first child to college.
I hope Im explaining it clearly lol.
we took all the letters and put them in a scrap book with pictures of her and us in the book too. She is not going to open them till the event happens. So some (like buying your first house) she has already opened but mine she will have to hold on to for a long time.

It was a little mushy for my taste but she is very sentimental and she loved it!

christmas, thanksgiving, easter, v-day, st pattys day, 4th of july etc

like the little hand towels/oven mitts for the kitchen

I LOVE this idea!!!!

Someone's mom did that for her daughters shower and she LOVED them. I think that's an awesome idea. If you know in advance you can work on it over the course of the year and even get things discounted!
