Need Dress Alterations

Does anyone one have a really good place to get the dress altered? I would need a fairly quick turnaround and someone who will do a great job with beading and lace.

Friends of mine got theirs done in NJ and Brooklyn but I'd like to find a place in LI or Queens and hopefully reasonably priced.

Also, does anyone know if you can turn a zippered dress into one with buttons or lace up?

I have a seamstress...

Gloria Alterations on Hillside Ave in Williston Park.

Her prices are not too low, but she does excellent work - my dress has lots of beading and lace and she shortened it without a problem.

I dont know about the buttons thing...call a seamstress and ask
