Need excercise input

So I did the 30 day shred one about two months ago and couldn't walk for days, I haven't done it since

I've been steadily working out for the past week and a half for 45mins-60mins...

I was thinking about trying the 30 day shred again tonight....do you think it will be less painful since I've been working out??

Re: Neep excercise input

I think it depends on the intensity with which you've been working out...if its nowhere near the intensity of 30 day shred you'll probably still be hurting.

You may want to start steadily building up the intensity of your workouts so that it'll only be a lil pain instead of being unable to walk.

Re: Neep excercise input

Lori,
I swear I felt your pain girl!! I did it one to the best of my unfit ability (Wii age had me at 78!!) I could not walk right for almost a week. It wasn't until I asked the phys ed teacher what I could do to stretch out my quads that I was able to walk correctly, especially up and down stairs, more up than down.

I think you'll fare a little better this go around.
Good luck.
Kimberly

Re: Need excercise input

Ok, that depends... what exactly are you doing for a workout?? If you are combining strength with cardio, than 30 day shred may not be so hard on your muscles... but the thing is, and as sick as this sounds, you may want it to beat the poo out of your body! Remember the expression, No Pain, No gain? What you should do is stay on level one for like 10 days and try to be religious, with two break days (wednesday and Sunday for example), than after 10 days, do level 2, than after 10 days, do level 3. What I do is on days where I am tired but know I need to work out, I do level one. Let me know if you need more help. I am like a pro at this crap.

Re: Need excercise input

I actually work out on regular bases i dance and i do some yoga! at the beginning when you first do it your body aches sometimes I do workshops and since i am not used to it i get the pain even if i do the workshop again i still get the pain...I will suggest to keep doing the regular 30-45 minute routine you are doing for a month and then maybe try the 30 day shred! so your body gets used to the work out!!

Re: Need excercise input

I have been doing it for over a month. This week I just started level 2. It definitely gets easier. I would say start off level one do it every other day. And deffinitely do the modified moves not going as deep into the movement. It seems horrible but beleive me the more you do it the easier it gets...

Re: Need excercise input

I need to lose and tone up within 5 months....do you think that's possible with the 30 day shred.

I'm sort of scared reading all the comments....but excited at the same time b/c I hope it works. I need to lose all the fat in my arms...anyone have exercise suggestions for me?

I've been going to the gym for a month now and I have not seen any results. I do cardio for about 30 mins then weights....sigh. I hate the way I look right now and need some encouragement!
