We looked at Raphaels and the room is AMAZING!! The only reason that we didn't have it there was that we wanted to have it on a Sat. in Sept. and their site fee for that time of year is very $$$. If you have it at on off time it's a little more affordable. The best part about having it there is that you have it inside in a beautiful room rather then a tent.

we are interested in a vineyard wedding as well. you might want to check out www.northforkweddings.com. also, if you do a search on BHB, there are a bunch of reviews of vineyard caterers, raphael, and pugliese vineyards. I believe vineyard caterers is the only one without a site fee. we are making appointments to see them over the next month. good luck and FM me with any questions.

Hello there! Thanks for the reply. We're also making appts. this month. Not sure about Pugliese Vineyards having a fee. I 've never been there. I'm trying to make an appt. with the planner, but I believe she's on vacation until the 9th. I'm going to their showcase in February. Check their site for the info. However, Raphael has site fee and prices vary by season. Let's keep each other posted. Aso, what's BHB?

Not sure if you know this, I found this afternoon from Raphael's that alcohol is prohibited as per a new law at the wineries. Only wine to be used for any event/weddings. This just has me going nuts, I personally don't mind, but my f is not happy due to being limited. Did you hear anything in your research?

NO, I haven't heard this...this could be a problem for guests who don't drink wine. when did this law take into effect? check out vineyard caterers-since they are technically a 'catering hall' on a vineyard, that law may not apply to them. it's actually not a working vineyard, so they may be able to have alcohol at their events. keep me posted!

Isn't that kind of wierd?? ALCOHOL is prohibited at a WINERY-haha. Sorry, just sounds wierd. Anyway, I am really sorry to hear that. I know a lot of people have beautiful weddings at the wineries and with laws like this is will make people think twice

We were married at Wolffer in 04 and it was beautiful!!!! But I have no scanner to scan my pics :( We had only wine and beer anyway at our wedding, but as far as I know, alcohol can be served at Wolffer.

my cousin married at wolffer estates. hands down one of the most beautiful weddings i have been to. i can;t remember the food but i think i didn't eat that much b/c i was running around doing other stuff (bridal party duties) but it was absolutely intoxicating (no pun intended)

Exacly my point. I was going to have wine, beer and signature drinks. However, I have an appt. this week and I will find out all the details.

Wolffer is so gergous. I need to find out if this law applies for them also. Apparently, is going to take effect soon.

I'm getting married at Wolffer this summer! Sue, who manages the private events there, has been so great to work with. I haven't heard anything about not being allowed to serve other alcohol there, guess I'll have to ask. FM me if you have any questions. I'm planning on going to the expo on the 21st to start tasting cakes.
