Ok i have a bit of a dilemma and i basically have to come up with something NOW lol and dont know what to do. The invitations i like, the one with the rhinestone buckle that i posted last week, well seems i wont get them until closer to the end of march, now i dont know what to do. Do I just let it be and send them out around the end of march and put May 1st as my rsvp which would give my guests a month to RSVP or do i go with other invites? I really love these so thats why i am trying to say its ok lol.
Also an 07 bride came on here and told me she ordered a sample from the same place as me and also from a texas company and the one in texas did the same invite and for a little bit less, IF you are on please tell me which company, ill call them and see if they can get it to me faster.
Im freaking out and trying to decide what to do and would have to do it soon especially since the invitation place is in london and i would have to call soon since they are a few hours ahead of us

Do you think you could turn them around and send them out pretty quickly once you get them? I'd say go for it, since you really love them. I think May 1 is probably ok for a cutoff date. But if it would stress you out waiting for them to come in, it might not be worth it.

I think you can do it! My theory is, everyone knows when you're wedding is anyway so it won't be a surprise when they get the invite...It's merely a formality and the invitations you posted were STUNNING.
Good luck.

see thats why it would definitely be at the end of march i'd send out bc after i get them i have to send them out to a calligrapher to do them, she takes 5 days to a week to return them to you so thats my dilemma haha.

you girls are great lol, yeah thats what i say. I mean personally why does anybody need such a long time to RSVP yes and decide whether they're going or not ya know. At least this way they'll send them out soon instead of sitting there thinking OH i have so much time and forget about it lol. Like i have said before, if my guests cant rsvp on time then that is not my problem and they dont have to come

If you send them out at the end of March I don't think that there is an issue. Sometimes the longer you make the RSVP for the longer people wait to send it back. Will they definitely get it to you by the end of march? Is there a way to put a rush order on it? I am only planning on giving about 4 weeks to RSVP.

i think that's enough time and you're right when i get an invite that's sooo far in advance i tend to let it sit on my desk for a few weeks and then remember omg i have to send it in! i plan on sending my invites out 5-6 weeks before the rsvp date which is 28 days before the wedding...

I agree if you sent out STD then you are ok and I think that if you can get them in and to the calligrapher and out pretty fast your ok.

Re: Need help ASAP going crazy lol
I think you can pull it off, but it will be a close time limit.
I've just gone throught this RSVP stuff and honestly it's been the most annoying part thus far. I've loved every other part of wedding planning, but sending them out and RSVP has been stressful. When you get them back from the calligrapher, you still want to double check the envelopes to make sure all addresses are correct, then stuff the envelopes. Taking them to the post office wasn't a big deal to me. As far as the RSVP goes, we're still calling people trying to get answers, some people are jsut thoughtless and don't send...So just things to think about
If a place in texas does them for a little less, that's worth checking out.

I agree as well....as long as you hustle to get them out and not procrastinate (I know I always do)! Plus, if you sent out a save the date you have already given them months of notice. I really think you will be fine and if you love them you should go for it! Just make sure they PROMISE to have them to you when they say! Good luck!

Re: Need help ASAP going crazy lol
thank you ladies for all your opinions.
The whole rsvp thing, whoever doesnt answer by May 1st, i have until may 7th to give my final headcount and if even by then i dont have an answer then they dont need to come lol. By then it would be 10 days before my wedding and if they dont know by then if theyre coming and need more time then thats their problem lol

Are you leaving enough time for yourself to give your final head count, make tables, and get favors? If so, I would say no problem go for it...dont cut yourself on time

If you are missing RSVPs you can always start calling them before the RSVP date.

i think 10 days is enough to make calls to people that didn't rsvp, just try do it while you're at work if you can!

Re: Need help ASAP going crazy lol
I agree that people don't need too much time to rsvp. If May 7th is your cutoff day to let your hall know how many people then you will probably be making some phone calls anyways to make sure that people are coming or not. I would just be careful with the company because what if something happens on their end and the invites come in even later...that is something that you may not be able to control. I would probably check out the other company to be sure...
