You deserve the invitations you love I would be very up front with the company, tell them that any delay in completion could cause you a major problem with timing your final counts, ect. Maybe they could even give you some type of 'priority' printing, I'd ask it never hurts.

lol thank you part of me now is wondering why im even going nuts about invitations lol. Ill figure it out somehow. I am going to call another place today, the problem is that since the invites would be coming from london thats what an extra week is for, for delivery so if i can get them at a place close by then it'd be different and I can get them earlier. But in NYC and other states for the same invites its 3x as much money

espo I work best under pressure and if you do to and you think you can handle doing everything in 2 weeks.. then go for it

Denise, it seems as if you answered your own question. If you are not bothered by the time crunch or missing RSVP's then just go for it.

I am too anal to play it so close but you seem to have a handle on things so maybe you should just go for it

well i think it depends on everybodies situation. Some are going to be worried about making their minimum so that will cause more stress. I dont want to go too much past my minimum so some people not coming is not a bad thing at all for me hahaha so maybe thats why im not stressing that part.

I also am just the worst with these things and its always how i do things. For some reason its how i function but even if i have things done ahead of time i say ok theres time and i leave it for the last minute and do things in a rush, i dont know why i do this but its just how i always do it. Even x-mas shopping i do it dec 23rd lol.

I think its good timing, if your FH will help out. Those 2 weeks before your going to be doing EVERYTHING anyway, so if you want those gorgeous invites and that will make you happy, then do it! I was in school up until the 17th of Dec. so I only had a few weeks before hand to do anything. One day we went to like 6 different places just to finalize, but I work best under pressure, nothing was forgotten, and I wasn't stressing to much. Also lets be honest you'll stress regardless so might as well love your invites

lol thats just what i posted about. I dont jump on things until they HAVE to be done. But i do have my seating charts bc i have a thing about doing lists for things, i have a whole notebook just with all these lists for the wedding hahaha. Not to mention i already have my must play list for MONTHS and update it constantly for songs i dont like anymore or any new songs, also my do not play list.

its true, no matter what we'll all be stressing 2 weeks before the wedding. Thats why i am going to do my menu's and all those things now and also have favors wrapped and done with in april bc that was one annoying part with my e-party, i did them and the menu's the week of.

i can't bc as soon as i get them in, i am sending them right to the calligrapher to do the addresses. Maybe i should just have them shipped to her, that would make it easier lol

well i found this other site that also does these type of invitations and can do them in 14 days so i am going to contact them and see what they say...they even have a rush order fee if we want and its $30 so not bad.

yeah, they custom make invitations if somebody wants so maybe if i show them a pic of the invite i want they'll be able to do it. I cant wait to get this part over with lol...another bride on here recommended them

What's the turnaround time for your calligrapher, I know mine is two weeks. It may be better just to send them straight to her, like you said you'll be away end/april so she can take care of it asap.

another LIW girl who used the calligrapher said she got them back in a week from the time she sent them

It took me a week to finalize all the wording on my invites and the format spacing, ect since I custom designed mine. I would leave extra time if you're asking them to custom an invite.

Either way I think May 1st is fine. For me I get an invitation I know right off the bat if I can go or not and I send it back, no sense in holding on to it.
