NEED HELP (BAND RELATED)!!!!!!!!

OK...

FH and I have gone to see many bands, including Renegade tonight @ Milleridge. We have basically determined that the best bands for what we want are Code Bleu and Heart and Soul. We're so torn that we're going to see Code Bleu again next week to try to decide. I'd VEEEEEEEERY much appreciate it if any of you brides can give advice with some concerns I have....

One thing that I liked about Code Bleu was that they gave a list of songs that they can play. Sounds pretty standard right? Well, Heart and Soul had no such list. This creeped me out because I DEFINITELY want to know what else they can play besides what they play at their showcase. Also, it just gave me a vibe that maybe they're not that organized and I am an organization freak! Does anyone out there that used them have an opinion about this?

Then, I thought Code Bleu's female lead singer was mediocre at best. But, they had a second female singer who did a few songs with them and she was great. Anyone know exactly how much this second singer would sing at the actual wedding (I know she costs extra, but assuming I paid for her)? Also, did I see their main female lead on a bad night? Is she usually better? Because the female lead for Heart and Soul was AMAZING. And I don't even think she is usually the lead, I think she costs extra - their lead singer was 9 months pregnant at the time of the showcase so she wasn't there.

i have heart and soul and i'm confused about the list you mentioned.

they most certainly have a very extensive song list of songs that they can play-- and they are willing to take any special requests and do them. i made quite a few requests that they said they would learn w/o a problem. maybe call and ask about that they mailed it to me a few months ago and gave me another copy when i booked.

anywho, i have heard code bleu and they were very good-- but, personally, i was blown away by heart and soul- their looks, their voices, their energy- the total package.

i loved the michael jackson thing- i loved the fact that they were all right on pitch all the time- they were fantastic. they are the one vendor i am looking forward to seeing more than ANY other vendor- hope that helps.

perhaps he thought you meant did they have one THERE to give you?? maybe it was just a miscommunication- i have a FOUR page list right here that he gives all their brides. i worked directly with him every time- and booked with him. also, whenever i call the office he always answers. he is a great owner- very involved and on top of things.

the voices- they just blow me away- the lead girl- wow!

hmm hang on- let me pull out a copy of my list...

Holy sh*t - this changes a lot of things for me. Did they mail you the list? If so, I'm calling them tomorrow to have it sent to me.

they gave me one when i booked (we booked 2 years in advance!) so then when i got the second list (about two months ago--edited-- yes, they mailed me the second, the first i got when i booked in person-- the second was sent with a letter explaining to choose what i wanted to hear and what i did NOT want to hear from the list, etc and to make any special requests) to choose for our wedding it was updated a little and altered a little to add, of course, the latest hit songs- i mean, two years is a long time lol.

anywho, it has a section for dance music and a section for 70's/disco, then rock and r&b, then motown, ballads, bride/father, groom/mother, big band and standards, waltzes, ethnic, latin, irish, italian, polish and of course novelty lol!

but yeah- i highlighted what i definitely want, left alone what i don't mind hearing and will let them read the mood of the crowd and decide-- and i crossed out my DO NOT play's.... then i put all my requests at the bottom and i spoke with frank himself one day when i was going over the requests- all he asked was that i put it in writing and send it over which i did- that was that.

ETA: Congrats - your wedding is SO soooon!

have you tried Timepiece.. my friend just used them and FH and I were BLOWN AWAY we couldnt beleive the songs they were able to sing and how they sounded just like the artist. they also had about 7 memebers there -i think all sang different songs

We also went to look at Code Bleu and Heart and Soul. Honestly, we felt Code Bleu was SO MUCH MORE TALENTED!! We also liked that the showcase was very organized and personal. We only stayed a few minutes at Heart and Soul, we just felt they didn't even compare to Code Bleu. I called Sean from CB the next day to book. I think the lead female is strong, but as you said, the other female is stronger when it comes to the ballads. To book her it is an additional $400, at least that is the price I got for my date. Another great thing about Code Bleu (you'll like this since you're an organization freak) is that Sean gets back to you right away, every time, and he is very organized. Also, they swear that 'who you see is who you get' so there will be no surprises with last minute switches. They have been together for, like, 19 years or something. OK...so you know who my vote goes to

were using Skline which is part of the same company code blu comes from and they have been amazing to work with so far. I've seen code blu and they were amazing as well, but I can't help you with the other band, I've never seen them, But I have read a lot of good reviews on them Good luck with whatever you pick, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed either way
