need help - ceremony related

okay so i know this is posted all the time but now it's my turn. I have to give my DJ my ceremony music before I leave for PR which is tomorrow morning so that means tonight basically.

I don't know what I should walk down the aisle to. I don't have a typical bp walking down the aisle - just a MOH and 4 little kids (2 FGs and 2 RBs) so I was thinking they could walk down to the somewhere over the rainbow by Israel Kamawhatever, and I thought I could too but the DJ thinks mine should be different so people know when I'm coming. Hopefully it will be an outside ceremony.

Any ideas what would be a good song to follow that one? I'm not into the traditional canon in D, here comes the bride, trumpets voluntary, etc. For some reason i'm stumped!! Please help!

How about this? I realize it's kinda left field, but I remember when I heard it (it was after my wedding) I just loved it and wished I heard it before. It helps that I LOOOOVE the original version, but I just think this version is amazing too.

thanks. you girls rock. i'm seriously starting to stress way too much over things. like I ordered thank yous for my shower, and i didn't know the whole card was in dark brown!!! you know what pen color shows up on dark brown?? NOTHING! so I bought a gold calligraphy marker and attempted to write my shower thank yous last night (my sister was like um you better get them out before the wedding!!) and it was a MESS it wasn't even a good marker and i had to shake it and all this crap and even though gold looks pretty on the brown you can hardly read it!! ugh.

You poor thing.....I'm just trying to picture you writing in messy gold marker. I don't want to laugh but it's pretty funny. You have to be able to laugh at yourself though, otherwise you won't make it, especially as close as you are.

Hang in there, you're almost done!!


I was seriously like - I am SUCH an idiot - I loved the thank yous but ordered them online and it never occurred to me they'd be brown. it was a total mess and everytime i shook the marker my cat would freak out. It was funny - I'm really glad I don't have many to write; I wanted a small shower and wedding for this very reason!!


I used to use a silver pen like that to write my Christmas cards, so I know what you mean about having to keep shaking them. There was a thank you card I was thinking about ordering for my shower, but it's in dark blue. I realized I would have to do the same thing, so I have to see if I feel like doing that.

wow. I totally got chills and a big happy smile when i listened to that!! It's awesome!! what a great version!

I told my dj I would send him my suggestions and he could let me know what flows - he's pretty cool and I think he'll be honest with me. But I really love this! and I love that it's kind of slower than the original. Keep looking, you're good at this!

my advice: DONT do it. i only wrote like 20 and felt like it was running out but yet I would shake it and gold would splatter everywhere.

Me too. And DH too, I played it for him and he actually stopped watching baseball for a minute...that is HUGE for him.

That's why I always bought two...just in case it started to dry up. I got used to writing with them. I do remember a little splatter the last time, but luckily it was right when I was finishing!
