Need help choosing a band (music)

My fiance and I are struggling to find a band that we really like. Our favorite so far is the Jeff Lubin band from Hank Lane. The problem with Hank Lane is that you cannot see their bands perform. We are nervous about booking a band that we cannot see live. Has anyone heard anything about this band or worked with Hank Lane? Do you have other wedding bands that you can recommend? We are looking for a band that has a lot of variety. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I am an Oheka bride as well!

We would not book a band that we could not see perform - no matter how good their reputation is. I have heard good things about Hank Lane though.

We are using Body Heat. We saw a lot of bands and loved them. They are showcasing on Tuesday at Chateau Briand.

I agree about seeing a band before you book. FH and I are using Soul Revival, we saw them at a friends wedding and loved them. We have a few other friends who are using them now too I know they are having a showcase this Monday night b/c a cousin of FH is going. Their website is: Soul Revival website

Thank you for all your help. We'll def. check out the bands you suggested. Does anyone have any experience with any of the Hank Lane bands?

Renegade is absolutely amazing!!!!!! i've been to 4 weddings with them - and every time i've been blown away... i've always been for a DJ because i was at a wedding once where the b&g's wedding song was BUTCHERED, but in the last 2 years i've seen renegade and they are unbelievable...they pull off the craziest songs in just about every genre!!!!

I'm also stumped for a band, b/c I'd really liek a full orchestra w/horns, sax, etc. Anyone of these bands include that sort of thing? Thanks.

Try New York City Swing - I think that is the band's name. Good luck!

Were using the original phase 4, they dont showcase but we saw the dvd and they got great reviews from people we spoke to, hopefully theyre as good as people said!

Renegade and NYC swing are both great bands and Harris's band by Hank Lane is absolutely amazing, theyre the best Ive ever heard at a wedding, but theyre really pricey

The Elite Band from Elite Music- Love them and the owner negotiated a great price that fit perfectly with our budget.

we hads seen tons of bands before we booked Skyline. We absoluately love them. All there bands are great. We also liked Heart and SOul the franklin wayne band.

My friend booked that Hank Lane Band but her wedding isn't until April so I can't tell you how they are until then. Sorry!

I did want to say that I was at a wedding with Body Heat. They totally rocked the house. After seeing them, I don't think there is another band that can compare.

I had the Jeff Lubin Band...they are AMAZING (ok I might be biased) but seriously Hank Lane is top notch - they play for celebs and the white house....I didn't care that I couldn't see them before I booked. I am all about reputation! My dance floor was jam packed from the minute our reception started until the last song was played and people were begging Jeff for more!
Don't think twice - go with your gut and book Jeff Lubin!

I second this, I love them!

Third! They were our band & our guests loved them. I used to sing in a wedding band so I know a good one when I see them & they were great.
