We need a super cheap RD! Like under $20 a person! We aren't trying to impress, just trying to feed people and have them mingle a bit. Do you girls know of any places? Or any inexpensive halls? Like a VFW? I know where all the wineries are and that's about it out there!

That would be me!! Im in the same budget frame. Where is your church??? Do you want beer and wine?? Or have your guests pay for their own drinks??? Meeting house creek inn was about 20 a person without drinks This is cheapest ive found

No church, no rehearsal. Just a get together for those that came a day early. Hotel is in Riverhead.

which hotel? maybe you could do something in their conference room catered by Roadhouse Pizza or Farm Country Kitchen or Birchwood or Russ Moran catering (he's based out of indian island and is awesome!) I called almost everywhere Riverhead and East (north fork) and cheapest I found was meeting house creek in aquebogue....right on the water Places in Riverhead with a private room are birchwood
you could try calling East Wind's restaurant Desmonds they have a price fix during teh week
honestly your best bet is prob having something catered in the hotel conference room if you can

My dad had my engagement party at Michael Anthony's in Wading River. They did a beautiful job. I think they were more then 20 dollars per person because we had open bar and it was a saturday evening, but If your RD is during the week I am sure they can do something for a better price. Their food is awesome. If you call there ask for Cassandra...she is the owner's daughter and she was great.
You can try the Cooperidge Inn in Baiting Hollow on sound avenue. Im sure you can get a good deal there too and their food is good.
I can keep going...I grew up out there and I love food so you can FM if you need help.

michael anthonys is more than 20 a head. i called and can't remember the exact price but it was more lie 35 cooperage's cheapest package is 29 a head without drinks birchwood is 35 a head with drinks there is a new place that opened downtown riverhead--The Dark Horse--i'm not sure of their pricing or if they are able to accomadate you could also try diggers i live in riverhead and we always eat locally so if you want to know anywhere else just ask

Unfortunately they don't allow outside food. And their catered dinner is even more. I think we are scrapping the whole thing all together. There's just not enough money.

you could always go to lenny's pizza in jamesport and use their room and do a pizza party
i'm feeling the same way...but we are having a rehersal at the church so we kinda have to.....my mom suggested just having everyone at the house after doing doing trays of food or pizza (my favorite!!!) but i dont want the hassel the night before of having to set everything up and break it all down
sooooo i'm looking into restaurants. if i find a reasonable one i'll let you know
