need help re: tipping

This is a totally personal decision. Some people tip the band, DJ, wait staff, photographers, video people, bridal assistant etc... Since we are paying for the wedding there is no way we can tip every single person involved in the wedding, and I also think it is unfair to tip people just because.. When I leave work my boss does not hand me a tip for a good days work. (Wait staff is different since most are paid below min. wage!) I plan on tipping the flower delivery person $50 but that is because they are going to wrap my staircase in tulle for me. The photographers are also supposed to be tipped (I still cannot figure this one out since it is their job to take the photos) but I will probably tip $100-$150 each, an assistant would get $50 or so. The video is shot by the owner so you are not supposed to tip owners. I will probably give the valet staff $25 each (2 kids) and our waiter $25. I doubt we can actually 'tip' the 7 member band. We booked them directly so they all get the money, no middleman taking a cut. BUT we are paying for the (2) photographers, (1) video guy and (7)member band to eat and that is about $50 or so per person. The limo driver's tip is already included but if he does a great job we will have a $20 for him too. If you have alter kids at a Church you should give them each some money, $10-$20 since they are not paid. Oh, a coat check person. You can also give him/her a small tip but usually guests will tip them on the way out. I have known people to tip bartendars at the beginning of the night to make sure that they are always provided with drinks quickly. I guess that is up to you and your FH.

I am sure some of the other girls will know who else to tip.
