Im Having trouble with my MOH. We went to look at dresses a month ago. She said that she would buy the dress by where she lives. I understood that. I had a few girls that backed out on me because they cant afford it. I emailed her making sure that she was still going to be able to be part of the bridal party and she gives me a big attitude. That she didnt go look at dresses with me for nothing. I understand her point, but so did the other girls. And she says she thinks its weird that Im asking her now after looking at dresses. Am I wrong for asking her? I want to make sure. She never answered my question, just gave me attitude. I emailed yesterday to see if she went to see if she looked at the dress again and she didnt respond. I know that she read the email.
I have also heard through my mom that what ever my other girls are planning as for showers and what not, she has nothing to do with and is not going to be showing. And I am bit nervous that she wont be there for the wedding either.
I dont know what to do. Should I talk to her, Let her know how I feel, or tell her forget it?

How close is your MOH? I guess it depends on your relationship with her? I am only going off of what you wrote. Did she understand the reason you emailed her? Did you explain that you were nervous because another girl dropped out because of finances and you thought she might too? The girls in your party are supposed to make things easier and support you but if I might add I have been very careful not to discuss the wedding details everytime I see/talk to them too. All my girls are my good friends but I don't want every single conversation with them to be wedding related. I thought it might get annoying. That is just me : ). At this point if she means something to you and I am assuming she does if you asked her to be your MOH I would talk to her. Telling her forget it might mean the end of something else too. Go with your gut. HTH... and sorry.

I agree with the first poster. MOH's are supposed to make your life easier. If my MOH gave me attitude like that, I'd give her a piece of my mind. Just explain your reasoning for asking her the question. Maybe she was insulted or maybe she is stressed out about something else and snapped at you. Definitely talk to her and if she is still giving you lip, I would consider choosing someone else. I had trouble choosing a MOH and considered asking my aunt b/c she has always been there for me. However, I decided to go with one of my friends who I know will be positive, helpful, and supportive through the wedding planning. Just remember, though...MOH's don't have to be friends, sisters, or cousins. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts...and people are now choosing men to be their 'MOH' or 'Man of Honor'. So if you have a brother or close male friend, you could always choose them. GL!

I would tell her I only asked because it seems like everytime I turn around someone else is backing out. I just wanted to make sure that you were still participating since I heard through the grapevine that your not going to participate in the shower.
I didn't deserve the attitude. I only asked a simple question. I didn't write anything to intentionally hurt you or cause a fight.
