If you received a clock as a favor that did not have a battery in it, would you think that was tacky?

Re: Need Honest Opinions - Tacky or Not Tacky
I wouldn't call it tacky, but an oversight. Whenever I give gifts that require batteries I buy the 1st set. Its like opening a gift on Xmas that needs batteries & you don't have any - bummer! Esp. if you wanna use that item right then & there.

I'm sorry, I hate to say it, but I would find it very tacky...I would think it was an oversight until I realized that no one elses had them either..then I would think it was tacky....also, I wouldn't want my guests thinking I made such an oversight on all of the favors....

Re: Need Honest Opinions - Tacky or Not Tacky
I just got a clock (w/out a battery) this past weekend as a bridal shower favor. It def. crossed my mind that it would have been nice if they had included the battery. I don't think it's tacky, but it's definitely better to include it! The other thing is that this was the kind of clock where the battery wasn't covered - it just had a little compartment for it in the back with no cover. I think that's what made it even more noticeable.

I think you need to put a battery in it...I know I'm in the minority but I think it is bordering on cheap and possibly tacky not to do so.
