Need Honest Opinions!!! (Unique Table Numbers?)

My mom came up with an idea of having vintage alarm clocks for the table number displays. I like the idea I just want to make sure it's not totally ridiculous. I ordered 3 from eBay to show FH and he's not a fan..but will let me do it if I really love it.

I thought it could be cute to go with our vintagey theme, we're having low centerpieces and no more than 11 tables..I thought we could also put on the place cards: 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, etc.

Is this really stupid??????

It's a unique idea, but i'm concerned with the proportion of the clock to the centerpiece/tables/room. Right now they look like they would be dwarfed by the rest of the room.

If you can find bigger clocks, or play off the ideas that AugustFeather posted.

I think it is very unique, and can be a cool, very clever touch ... However ...

I agree with some of the brides that it may confuse some guests ... I'm not sure it goes with the elegance of the room, and what happens if you end up having more than 12 tables? This would be my deciding factor. I'm pretty sure that we will end up having more than 12 tables with 130 guests, you know? Ive seen 10cap tables that become very cramped ...

I would have said yes until you posted the photo of your room which looks elegant. I see you doing something vintage but more upscale like framed sepia photos, vintage hankies with the number embroidered (and framed) or something along those lines.

I think it would work, I kinda agree about the decor but to me its more confusing so i dont think it will be understood and therefore kind of defeat the whole purpose
