This topis wasnt getting much of a response, so I decided to post it here too.
Danielle and I are looking for recommendations from you ladies on Hotels to stay for our wedding night.
We are interested in staying in Nassau County. We are getting married at the Huntington Townhouse, so Huntington would be the farthest we would go.
I also wanted to know if anyone has stayed at the red roof inn, in Westbury? If so, what did you think of it? What about the Wingate on Stewart avenue in Westbury. I heard some bad things about it, and I wanted to know if anyone had any positive things to say about the hotel.
Thanks, Scott

we love the wingate inn on stewart ave - blocked hotels there f0r our wedding and they were wonderful......we also used the holiday inn in westbury on old country rd and although it deon'st look like the 'best' place on earth, everybody who stayed there enjoyed it ad sad it was clean,. affordable,etc....we actually did not stay at etiehr - stayed out in suffolk b/c we were origianlyl leaving from islip airport for hm - but then changed it- but i can tell you thsoe who did stay there are picky, picky people and we oculdn't believe they had nothign bad to say about either!

The Red Roof Inn is a budget hotel (nothing wrong with that) but their lack of amenities is evident. No coffee in the room, etc.
The Holiday Inn on Old Country Road is nice and their rates include breakfast. They also have a resataurant/lounge in the hotel which is convenient.
The Wingate is nice and has a bridal 'suite' which is fairly reasonable and it's a nice place.
Have you checked the Huntington Hilton? There are also a few places on Jericho in the Woodbury area - I don't know what their rates are or how far they are from HT.

There's a Best Western Executive and the Fox Hollow Inn (although that's expensive). They're not far at all from Huntington so they're worth checking out.
