need hugs!! my wedding is 5 days away and i'm having major tooth pain!!

i had a root canal a few weeks on the BOTTOM right side of my mouth and then the crown was put on thursday. everything felt fine until saturday night into sunday when i got major pain in my TOP right jaw and into my sinus and nose (not the area where the work was done). since i'm NY now but i live in PA i'm going to my dad's friend who is a root canal specialist. please pray its nothing serious and i'll be ok to say my vows on sunday!!!


ETA: i went to a regular dr today and he told me it could be a sinus infection so he gave an Rx for amoxocillian which i started taking this afternoon, but so far no relief from the pain.

i hate to say it, but i think stress really brings out any underlying thing thats going on with our bodies!! i'm normally a teeth grinder when i sleep, but worse when i'm stressed (like right now). i'm hoping i'll go to the dentist and he'll say nothings wrong and then i'll be ok.

The ampicillin will do nothing for the pain: but it could stop major complications.

Also, tooth pai can be weird: if it's really bad, sometimes you can't feel where it's coming from.

I went through something similar. I'm sorry!

so i went to the dentist today and he thinks that the tooth behind the tooth that had the root canal might need a root canal. but hes not 100% sure. hes only 60% sure. also the pain on the top of my mouth and in my face has gone away since i started the antibiotic so he thinks that was a sinus infection. he took xrays of both the top and the bottom of mouth and nothing came back. he offered to do a root canal on the tooth that he thinks might need one. but i said no thanks since he is not 100% sure. he said the pain in the lower jaw could also be do to my bite being thrown off by the new crown. so he did lower the crown a little. the pain on the bottom hasn't gotten worse or better since this morning so i'm just going to leave it alone. thanks for all the hugs ladies!!
