Need ideas

I have an extremely large family and so does FH, therefore, my bridal shower is going to be extremely large. My issue is I want to ensure the bridesmaid in charge of writing down who gave me what writes everything down correctly. Also, half the time things are moving so quickly (not wanting the guests to sit through 2 hours of opening) they will note 'pot' and I may have no idea which pot was bought for me from that guest. Anyone have an idea on how I can make this task efficient and keep up with the fast pace?

I saw an idea I liked on pinterest. Buy labels and have your bridesmaid write the persons name on it and stick it on the gift they gave. This way you know exactly who gave what.

That's so funny that you posted this because I was thinking the same thing earlier today! I've actually never seen or heard of this, but I came up with this idea myself today and I'm not sure how it would work but could be worth a shot. I was thinking of having a print out of the registry list and having the person writing things down actually write the guests name next to the item on the list. So if it says 12 place settings and say Mary Smith got you 5, then write her name and amount.

Another idea is to write what the gift was directly on the card and then save all of the cards. A friend of mine did that and I think I'm going to suggest that to my sisters.
