So I am struggling with what to plan for FH's big bday! His best friend suggested planning some extravagant min-vacation. I refuse to take a plane anywhere b/c its soo last minute and I dont have the $$ to do all that... Then he suggested Montreal, AC, Foxwoods... something along those lines... Anyone have any brilliant ideas?? I need to plan something quick (it would most likely be the weekend of oct 12-14)... I need to make sure I give his friends plenty of notice so I can get everyone to come....

Hmm....how about one of those big wine tasting tours out east? Some come with packages with a limo and meals included that way if you have a group of friends going no one would have to drive? You could definitely make a little weekend out of it. Or maybe try the Poconos? I dont know how far you are willing to go, but there are some really nice places there that aren't too expensive and its only a couple hours away

Hmmm, I would say Atlantic City. I took my FH there for his 21st birthday. The Poconos are also a good choice. I always go to the fifle ranges when I head down there. I love shooting

I would go to AC in a heart beat.... Its just that I USED to get free rooms or deep discounted rooms... and now they dont send me sh*t anymore They give me a discount on a room and its still like 300 bucks ... blehhh

i think the easiest thing to do would be to invite all his friends to his fav. bar(maybe u can reserve some tables) and then come with him an hour later. He'll be surprised to see everyone there and it wont cost you alot of money. I did that for my fh husband once and he loved it. Afterwards you can have dessert at home

LOL. i know what you mean. My FH family expects our wedding to be better then any of the other families. they drive me crazy. How bout you rent a limo and then go bar hoping in the city, maybe Coyote Ugly (the bar from the movie) It's not exaclly how they show it in the movies though. That's my only left idea lol. I know that Norwegian Cruise Line does a 1 or 2 night cruise in NY. Its a cruise to nowhere really it just goes far enough out to open the casino.
Its like a regular cruise you have all the food, shows, stores and stuff like that but its either a 1 or 2 night depending on what you want.
My sister got this for her husband for his birthday.
The casino also opens once they get far enough for shore.
I was looking into for FH for his bday. Well I still am looking into it.

While I agree that the bride should be involved with the Bachelorette party, I think the BP should be the planners. Have you stopped to think that your BMs cannot afford a cruise and the normal expenses of being in a wedding?

I dont have it planned out yet (b/c the 09 schedules arent out yet) but I would like to take a bahamas cruise out of FL if possible.... Just like a 3-4 day thing ya know...
