NEED INVITATION HELP/question

for those of you who sent out your invitations, I have a question, I picked mine up tooday and noticed that there are two big envelopes one to address to the people and one lined one inside of a different consistency, i guess to put the rsvp directions, etc... in my question is can I leave the interior envelope blank OR must it have the guest's name on it, there name is already on the outer one must it be on the inner one also??? What are you guys doing I have gotten invitations w/ writing on the inside and without...... thanks!!

The interior envelope is where you put the actual invitation, response card, reception card, direction cards. The propoer thing is to write the people's first names on the inside of the envelope. Like you address the outside to Mr. & Mrs. JOhn Smith, and the inside would say Aunt Vivian and Uncle John. Good luck!

Or more formally, the inner envelope should read Mr. and Mrs. Smith, whereas the outer should read Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.

NEED INVITATION HELP/question

We did the inside envelopes informally, such as Aunt Dottie & Uncle Frank. It's really up to you; I have gotten invites with & without writing on inside envelope.

also, if you are inviting someone with a guest - I have seen it as just Mrs. Jane Smith on the outer envelope, and then 'Jane and Guest' on the inner envelope.
