Need Italian translation

Ok, I'm terrible with reflexive verbs - how do you say 'I got engaged last month'?

It's something like, 'mi sono findanzarsi il mese scorso' but I don't think that's right.

GIve me a min!

What does agganciato mean? Is that like a slang word? I guess it's from agganciare?

When you translate back into english it doesn't make 100% sense...

It means coupled to be exact..

Yeah, it sounded like slang so that's why I was gonna ask if you were Sicilian! Dad speaks it somewhat too, and my grandparents were fluent but never spoke it much in the house. I wish I could just move to Italy and learn that way!!
