My sister is getting married in almost 1 week, her bridal gown is still not in and getting nothing but the run around from the bridal salon.
As you all could possibly understand she is in hysterics, us sisters are trying to think of a quck plan B just in case this dress doesn't come.
Please give us suggestions as to where she can buy a white wedding gown off the rack someplace in NYC or Long Island.
She's a size 8 or 10 depending on the style of the dress, 31 years old. $$ not an object here at this point.
Please give me the name of the store, locations, phone #'s, addresses or web site link if you can!

Oh also try JCrew and Ann Taylor! They both do wedding dresses too and you might be able to order it and get it shipped overnight.

Bridal Reflections will sell you a certain samples if a dress is needed in a rush. Talk to Christina the Manager.

OMG!!! Reading this almost gave me a heart attack. I also got my dress at the same bridal salon as Maria31 and they are giving us the run around. And yes they are blaming it on the manufacturer, but they have to be given some sort of explanation for the delay in advance. My dress is 2 months late and I get married in exactly a month. I really hope I will not be in the same position as your sister and I pray that she finds a place and a dress she truly likes. Good Luck.

Angel bridal in East Islip ask for Vikki or Rosemary they will def be able to help her no doubt about it!!!!
ETA: try craigslist too there are tons of gowns on there and most live locally

hmm..i was looking to sell my dress from my 7/5 wedding...it's a size 8 and i am an 8/10 in street clothes.

An affordable place to go where they only sell off the rack is Estelle's Dressy Dresses in Farmingdale. They have a whole bridal section with gowns etc. that aren't ugly or anything and are reasonably priced.

Try craigslist. there are a lot of dresses on there that were never worn. Feel bad for the girls but if it will benefit you go get them!!!

i was going to suggest this. i got my dress here actually! they do sell dresses that you can order (that's what I did) but you can also buy them off the rack.

my sister bought the sample that the store had. if she moves quickly, she can buy the one she wants and still have time for a fitting and to have the dress cleaned up. best of luck to her!

When I was shopping at Pronovias they mentioned that they sell their sample dresses (immaculate condition) to brides who come in in this situation. they're in the city on 52nd and Madison I believe.

I know some people have had bad experiences... but David's Bridal was wonderful to me and they have helped girls out in this situation before. Go to the one near Smithhaven mall- ask for Meredith- she was amazing!

nordstrom has beautiful gowns. so does jcrew, saks, neiman marcus and bergdoff goodman. hope all that helps!

My EOM dress was a 10 on the sample rack, but it's here in VA!!! FM if you're desperate, it's a 5 hour ride!!!

Vows Bridal Outlet. I got my off the rack dress there 2 weeks before my wedding. They are all overstocks & samples gowns and they have TOPNS of size 8 & 10s. I was just there 2 weeks ago with my SIL.
They are in Massachusetts but they will overnight ship to her.
