How does everyone feel about motorcycle clubs?

I do not ride- fh does. (I sometimes get on the back)

They dont bother me at all. I have friends that are in them. They are wonderful people.

Just like Jenny said they do get a little pollitical.

One group you are a profit and basically are scum. If they call you at 2am and its thundering out, but they tell you to show up at a bar and watch the bikes, you do it.

Getting into a club is not fun, but once you are in it their is a respect thing about it.

My friends I love them club or no club

Fh is in a club, and wants to be vice president. I am against this- I do not want him to be. He has been in this club 3 years, and has turned it down before, but now he wants to take it.
He told me he is taking it, and I told him if he comes home with that patch there will be a war.
Should I just let it go? Am I making too big a deal about it?

Helene-Not a dumb question! Sorry if i don't know how to answer, but I'll try. I did not know till fh joined one.

As far as I can see, this is what fh does:
Has a clubhouse
goes to meetings
goes on rides
has parties
does some charity stuff

I am not invited to most of these things- another reason why I hate it.

I would just let it go.

A friend of ours is VP and honestly if anyone sees him on the street they would never know it. He doesnt wear his vest unless he is riding. We bumped into him in the mall and I didnt recognize him in sweats.

Sunny I think you explained it well.

Runs though, you should be able to go to them. I have been on MC runs and the guys brought their 'old ladies' with them

Everything else dont be upset if you cant go to them. You have LIW and that can be your club.

Helen: oh yes they do a lot of great charity work. We did a breast cancer run with a MC.

Sunny: we have a lot of friends in different clubs and we just like to hang out with all of them, go on runs, and have laughs. FI got asked to join and he was like nah its ok I like just having a good time. They respected it but the offer will always stand.

See- that is what I mean. I thought the whole idea for him was to hang out, have fun, and ride. This I understand. But why does he need to be in a club with rules, titles, and all the other BS.

I think its a guy thing

The furthest we ever rode was to Copaige. This was from Queens. We will never do that again. OUCH my toosh hurt. He doesnt have the softest seat on the bike

The runs in december are fun. Gotta love 4 layers of clothes

I have never ridden very far. He put a backrest on for me so his bike is comfortable.

lucky for the backrest. FI refuses to put a rest on the bike.
