Need Photo and Video for under

$3500.

I've been searching everywhere. For Photo we're looking for all proofs printed, a high res. CD of all the pics, and 2 photographers (photojournalistic style) and for video just looking for basic coverage. I would like the video to be somewhat edited but I'm also open to just taking the raw footage.

Can anyone help me?! Any idea's on where I should look? I've called Duet, Thomas Paul, Proline, Patken, Candid Like Life, Laurie Studios, Velvet, 12th night, Danny Saviano, Marco, Konrad Kolen, Dan Wagner, Christina Bohn, Christos, and I'm sure there are more...lol Either they are booked, out of my price range or haven't returned my phone call or e-mail.

We used Bliss Productions (www.blissproductionsny.com) for our wedding and loved them! Photo is $3500 but maybe they can go down, I didn't really try.
We used Rambling Rose for our video and they were awesome as well! They were around $1100.
I know it's a little more than what you are looking to spend, it was for me too...I ended up loving both though and am glad we spent the extra money. If you want to take a look, here is a slideshow that Bliss put together for us.

I paid under 3000 for both photo and video. They were excellent at the wedding and they also provide free in-studio engagement shots. I booked with them when they were having a promotion but I beleive the price may still be the same. Hope it helps!

I think having 2 photographers will drive the price up a good amount for the package you're looking for. Perhaps maybe think about cutting something out in order to reach your budget? Cause the places you listed that you've contacted seem to be the ones that most people recommend on here when someone is on a budget.

The only other place I can think to recommend (not really sure of pricing) is Ariana Studios. They're part of the Wedding Plaza in Floral Park. One of my friends used them for her wedding for photo/video, and said they weren't that expensive. But I think she only had 1 photographer.

try gail chatelain , she's independent but she may be able to help out with ur budget and maybe has someone who she works with as far as a 2nd photographer. i used her and she gave us amazing pictures at a great price.

A couple of months ago there was this Post about a Photographer willing to take photos for free ...maybe you could use this guy as your 2nd photographer and then just get 1 photographer from a studio

This is a second wedding for me. The first marriage was in '93. I was in sticker shock when I saw the average price of photos/videos. Please watch who you use if you go cheap. We tried that route and lost 1k. We booked with a company that we learned was a scam. We are now trying to look for another photographer and try to somehow get our deposit back. Check the bbb for complaints, the type of complaint and how many. Make sure you don't book with a photographer by the hour, but rather the day (or at min 9 hours). They low ball you then slam you with OT costs. Make sure everything is in writing. Some companies will promise you the world and not write it in the contract. When it comes time to get your pics, the extra charges keep coming. Make sure that they have a back up photographer/videographer for the day. Emergencies can and do happen. I got a recommendation to Celestial Photographers. He seems really nice and also gave me a list of questions to ask. He works out of an office from his house, so it is a lot harder to disappear on you. I checked with BBB-no complaints in 36 months. I saw someone's photo montage that used him and the pics seem real nice. Has anyone ever used them? His prices were reasonable and his payment plan is great. He doesn't collect the balance until you pick up your albums. After being burned, I obviously did a lot of research and learned what I needed to know a little late. This has also made me very skeptical to book someone else. It is probable one of the most important choices of the day. It is worth the cost. I learned this the hard way.

For video we used Pat Savino (golden moments) & we liked him too. Did'nt even know he was there.
We got an unedited video so it was pretty cheap. It's been ready but I haven't had a chance to pick it up. FM me if you have questions about them
