I am sorry to say that I haven't had benefits in months so I have been slacking on my exams. But we just received benefits through my DH new job. We also moved so my old doctor is out of the question (45 minutes away). Could any of you give me any suggestions on a new doctor? I live in the Centereach area, so someone in that surrounding areas) would be great. Also, please let me know, was the hospital that you gave birth (if you have already) was all you expected it to be. Thanks in advance girls! I appreciate it.

I dont know any drs in Centereach, I'm in Northport and my dotor is in Huntington... But I would try to avoid Stonybrook hospital. They have a bad reputation there. I'm sure some people will disagree but for me, and the experience I've had with them, they arent great - 3 people in my family died while under their care within four months!! My chiropractor had his wife bring in a midiwfe to delive their baby at Stonybrook because he didnt trust them. There was some big article about them within the last couple of years and they got a not so great reveiw. try to avoid it if you can. My Uncle had a heart attack last spring and was brough to Stonybrook because it was close. As soon as he was staple he insisted on being brought to another hospital for his long term care. I wouldn't go there unless it was my last option.
Updated: I agree, everyone has had different experiences, Ijust happened to have a few not-so-great ones.

I absolutely adore my doctor. He is in Stonybrook right off of 347. FM if you want info. I have a completely different feeling about Stonybrook hospital then Kathy but we all have our own feelings.

i love my doc....he is in port jeff station. he was so great with me all throughout my m/c and he has delivered all my sil's babies and they adore him....
he is associated with st. charles hospital. imo, everyone i know who has had babies there have had good experiences.

I just recently switched OB/GYN's. My old Dr was great as a GYN but as an OB I was not happy so I switched. The new Dr I am going to is in Port Jefferson over by St Charles and Mather Hopsitals. He uses St Charles, Stony Brook and St Catherines....FM me if you would like more info...

I go to Dr. Escamillia in Smothtown. She is in the St. Catherine's Medical building. She is terriffic. One of my cousin's used her for all 3 of her babies and recommends her to everyone.

I'd highly recommend Dr.'s Brenner and SanRoman in Port Jeff Station. I love them!! They deliver at St.Charles, and I deliverd 3 months ago and had the greatest experience there (much better than when I had my son at Stony Brook) FM me if you want the Dr's info
