Need Recommendations for Hair

Help! I love my salon for haircut and color, but not updos. I've had several people do them, and I didn't love any of them. I feel that many hairdressers ask you what you want, but then do their own thing! I want to feel comfortable enough to say 'I don't like that' or hopefully, 'I love that'. Any suggestions?
