Check out the webpage www.chowhound.com. The people who post on that board are real foodies. The DH and I were there about 2 years ago, but I can't remember any restaurants.

I always research on chowhound before we go anywhere. I haven't been steered wrong yet. It is a bit of a pain to search the page, but well worth the effort. They don't discuss the tourist places or the rip-off places.

Key West? We were there last spring - let me know if that's where you're going - we went to some GREAT places!!

Mrs Wask``` We are staying on Duck Key but plan on exploring. We will also be driving up to Boca for an afternoon.

Aww - my whole family lives in Boca!! I am so jealous!!! In Key West - there is a real cool restuarant called 'Blue Heaven' - you eat outside and chickens and cats are walking around - it's pricey - so we went for lunch. There is a fantastic Mexican restaurant right on Duval street - can't remember the name - but if you are walking up Duval - it's on the right side - very small!!
In Boca - there is a Cuban restaurant - Padrino's - food was SO good and Really Cheap!! I don't know where you are staying in Boca - but it is on 441 which is West Boca.

Kelly McGillis has a restaurant on Key West, that we went to and it was great...she actually was our hostess too!!! very weird to be seated by her..

My best friend's uncle bought her [Kelly McGillis'] million dollar home near Duval Street...the conch train tour actually still tells tourists that she lives there (obviously, she does not - at least not in that house) I can't wait to go visit him when we are there!
