need some cheering up

with 19 days till the wedding.. im not even excited

too much has been going on

-FH's mom being diagnosed with cancer (by far the worst ... the other stuff is nothing to me compared to this )
-my dress and 2 bm dresses dont fit
-one bm dress didn't come in yet
-my mom is not happy with her dress
-yesterday went to the surf club and the fountain that they promised promised promised would be in for my wedding will not be done for my wedding
-there is no pavement done in the driveway which will not be done for my wedding causing the entrance to just look blah
-the grass in the back is dead
-they opened up their pool to the public which is right by my cocktail hour (they say it closes at 6 which is when my cocktail hour starts but still who wants random people in bathing suits walking aroudn while your dressed up guests are walking back to the cocktail hour)

sorry im venting.. i just want to be happy

Im so sorry you are going through all this.. esp you FMIL... I pray everything goes well for you even though it may seem bad... and prayers for your FMIL as well.... try to take it easy and just enjoy it as much as can...

Ok put things into perspective...

Obviously as you say the most important worry right now is your FMIL..i pray that things are going well for her and they caught the cancer early! Any updates on that yet?

As far as your gowns and your mom's gowns don't worry they will all fit and you will all look gorgeous...its the job of the bridal salon to make them fit! no worries on that front!!

As far as the RH stuff I am telling you that none of it will matter that day. You will be on cloud nine it will all disappear...TRUST ME! Don't lose sight of the fact that you are marrying the man you love. Thats the only thing that matters. It is easy to forget that with all of the stresses of wedding planning. I couldnt wait for mine to be over the week leadin gup to it...but it all works out and will be perfect! The only things to think about now would be your FMIL and your wonderful Future Hubby and you getting married! Everything is not worth it in my opinion!

but to add to the Lauren's thoughts. .

I was in the same boat on so much of this. . my dress looked awful until the last fitting and then turned out so perfect I loved it and I was literally crying at every fitting until the last one

and RH - same thing. . one thing after the other popped up that they swore/neglected to tell me etc. . like a HUGE tent blocking my view which was why I picked it etc and NONE of it mattered the day of . . you will see only the good things, be so happy, surrounded by love, marrying your honey. . so as long as you try not to focus on it. . and it's easy to do in hindsight bc i WAS totally freaking out when I was dealing with all this and found it hard to listen to people who said it wont matter bc I was like WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WONT MATTER HOW CAN IT NOT MATTER but honestly it doesnt so

so sorry sweetie you are goin thru this difficult time.. please try and stay positive and im sure it will all work out for you!! Your wedding is goin to be amazing and your friends and family will help you get through this and make it even more special for you.. these are just a few little bumps in the road that you will get past.. always look ahead and never look back.. have a little faith and it will guide you in the right direction!!! :)
