I'm sooooo disappointed! I'm on vacation this week and we've been doing work around the house. Tomorrow was the only really FUN day planned - Cupsogue Beach with some friends from the city. They just called and her DH got a job interview tomorrow morning. He's at a high level so this could take several hours and they didn't want to try to do anything later in the day
I don't really like the beach without a group because I hate leaving my keys, cash etc. to go down to the water with DH and no one to watch the stuff.
So... any suggestions for fun excursions in Suffolk or Nassau? We've done the Montauk and North Fork stuff. Any suggestions for the island off Greenport (Block Island?) Or any favorite fishing boats you can recommend?

HI Karen! I know you said that you did Montauk but have you gone Whale WAtching off of Montauk yet??? August is the BEST time to see the whales. I went with some friends a few years ago and it was wonderful!! The trip is about 4 hours so you really could make a day of it!

Sounds fun but I couldn't find anything like what you described. Only thing I could find from Montauk was Viking Fleet which has 2-3 day overnight excursions. Couldn't find any day trips anywhere.
that sounded so cool - i woudl have wanted to go whale watching - phhoey! are you sure??

We're thinking now that we may play golf tomorrow, and try to get tickets to the Ducks game later. The whale watching does sound fun though - worth some further research - if not tomorrow then later in the year if they're coming south by then. Thanks for all the suggestions.
