need suggestions!

I need to get a spray tan before my make up trial, so i'm thinking of going in a couple weeks- about 3 days prior.

Any suggestions of where to go (approx holbrook to shirley)?

What should I expect / wear? (I've never been!)

Do I need to make an appointment or can I walk in?

Has anyone done a tan prior to make up trial OR wedding- did you tan everywhere except your face or tan your face too?

Can I get my eyebrows threaded afterwards or should I do this before?

Hey! I got a spray tan with Gina at Tropical Rendezvous in Holbrook. She was good and answered any questions I had. I believe she may also do eyebrow threading or waxing and facials so she might be able to answer your questions about that. I'd think to get your eyebrows done first, though.

I did it for a wedding I attended and I had my face done as well. They'll strip you down as far as you want to go. You can go naked or wear a bathing suit (I did.) If you're going to wear something I'd suggest the bathing suit because if you do get spray tan on it, it will clean easier.

Never been to sunset beach, sorry! How much was the coupon? I think it was only like $25 at Tropical Rendezvous, and they usually have specials. Like them on Facebook they have coupons there too. HTH

I live in Queens so can't help on where to go but I'd say wear a dark colored bathing suit. I generally don't tan my face when I go (only because I'm prone to breakouts) and just match my makeup accordingly, which is what your MUA would do, so I'd say whichever you feel more comfortable with. You can get your eyebrows threaded after, but not waxed. Threading doesn't remove your top layer of skin, but waxing does. You will need to do any mani/pedi beforehand though because you'd have pale feet, shins and hands once you're finished! A hot, damp towel is kryptonite for a spray tan- it's what I use to get the tan off when it starts looking not so good. HTH!

SO glad you told me this I have a groupon for a mani/pedi i was gonna use before my make up trial. will not be doing that now!

I've always gone to the Spa at St Tropez in Port Jeff Station. I went there for a few spray tans and they do an awesome job, they actually have someone airbrush you. You do need an appointment, but it's totally worth it. I did my face too. Wear really loose fitting clothing because you don't want it to rub off. They say not to shower for I think 12 hours but then you can and it rinses off any excess thats left over. Before you do that you do look kind of orange so I used to do it then go sit on my couch and watch a movie and go to bed.
