Need suggestions for introductions

Need suggestions for introductions

My FH is not happy about having to be introduced at the reception (he doesn't like being the center of attention). But I think we need to be introduced to officially start the reception. Also, we don't have a bridal party (just a MOH and BM). So can anyone give some suggestions on an entrance that doesn't resemble a sporting event but will still make us stand out? Also should we introduce just ourselves or do our parents and moh and mb need to be introduced too? Thanks!

Are you doing a first dance? If so, he'll be in the spotlight anyhow. Just have them call you in for the dance, no other introductions. 'For the first time as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. X!' No extra song, just start your first dance music right away. It would be super fast.

I don't want the 'Rah, rah' stuff either, so I was thinking maybe something more elegant like classical music and simply announcing them 'Please join us in welcoming Miss Bridesmaid1 being escorted by Mr. Usher1 and so forth' It doesn't need to be a dance party intro.

Yes we are doing a first dance. It's By Your Side by Sade - so should the DJ just start to play the song and introduce us then? Can we be introduced to a slow song?

that was our first dance song too.

We walked in to Barry White's 'My first, my last, my everything' - just an instrumental version, no words.

We are having the same thing as you...just a MOH and BM and FH does not want a big introductions.......so what we are doing is just having the DJ say something like....please welcome Mr and Mrs. xxxx for the first time as husband and wife as they dance to thier first song' and we'll just walk in and do the first dance....Of course I'll think of something a little bit more eloquent to say but you get the drift : )
