NEVER NEVER NEVER have friends do anything for you for your wedding. lest go back about a year. friend said she would love to do our flowers. I was like ok. researched all online flowers for her. got the vases. kept asking her to she me samples...last month i fired her. and went to pedestals . Rant two Friend beg us to be the photographer.( he has a new photography studio and is stating out) agin over a year ago.Went to go pay him ( cause i want everything payed for before the wedding) with 5 weeks left. he tells me he can't take pictures cause he took an other job. *** people. so Thank god I have a friend who is a really good friend with a reliable company and the date was still avail... Thank you Steve at Studio 27!!!!

OMG I can't believe this. How freaking inconsiderate. Do people not understand how hard it is to find new vendors?? I'm sorry about the headaches but at least you were able to get new vendors.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that your friends have been flaking out on you... thank goodness you were able to get good, reliable companies to help you out though! And I also know Steve from theatre, he is awesome and you will have beautiful pictures!!

You're right about hiring friends ...I know a girl who hired a friend for limos and a friend for photography; the limo never showed and the photographer lost a roll of film (pre-digital). More than one person learned a lesson that day. Thank goodness you were able to nip the potential hazards in the bud. Geez. Isn't anyone responsible anymore?

Wow, these ppl are supposed to be your FRIENDS???? How freakin inconsiderate! I would be just as pissed! How can you take another job esp that this is your friend & he is paying you!!!! Ughhhh Now you know who your real friends are! I always believe it's better to leave friends out of business! Sorry you had to go throught this but glad you were able to find good, reputable vendors - your wedding day will be amazing!!!!!

:( Sorry you had to deal with that…i've found that my friend circle has gotten much smaller over the years…i just can't deal with inconsiderate people anymore.
On the bright side, Pedestals is amazing and your flowers will be absolutely fantastic…so no worries!

Holy crap! I cannot blame u at all for wanting to hit someone! That is just terrible! These so called 'friends' offered their services and then back out on you last min?!?! How horrible of them! So glad everything was able to work out for you though, especially with the photography!
This is exactly why I didn't have any friends do anything for our wedding either... To avoid a situation like that!

Good for you for firing them! I agree, it sucks to have friends do things for you like that. You have great vendors now! When I got engaged a friend of mine wanted to do flowers and I was like 'oh ok I'll think about it...' and it never came up again She also recommended some crazy photographer that I never called
