Need your help...

My 1 year anniversary is coming up and I have no idea what to get DH. I want it to be very special because it's our 1st anniversary. Something creative. What I got him so far is a rubiks cube with pictures from our wedding on it. I want to get him something else though.

Any ideas for me ladies???

Well what I wanted to do was arrange to have dinner at the place where we had our reception, at Floral Terrace. But they said that the chef is not there during the week, (our anniversary is on a Tuesday) The woman I spoke with said she can speak to the manager and see if they could possibly do something for us on a weekend of July 4th because they have a wedding but it's a busy holiday weekend and we be going to a rehearsal dinner for a friend of mine's wedding.

What I was aslso thinking of doing is having dinner around the neighborhood of Floral Terrace and then stop in and walk around and take pictures and just sort of go down memory lane. The lady on the phone said that if we have dinner around there and we bring it back with us to FT she'll let us eat in one of their bridal suites. I'm thinking about that.....dinner would be my treat of course...

I forgot where I got that rubiks cube from...LOL I ordered online and I can't remember the name now...if it comes back to me i'll let you know...

I think going back to the place you got married is a great idea..I wanted to do the same thing..but havent asked yet...I think its a WONDERFUL idea, very thoughtful and very romantic!! I wanted to ask my hall as well, but our annivesary will fall on a sunday..so Im hoping there wont be any weddings that night. think yoru husband is going to love whatever you do because you are so thoughtful!!!!

I definitely want to go back to Floral Terrace and I also just ordered DH a wedding time capsule where I am going to put memorabilia from our wedding day, honeymoon and first year together. I'm gonna let him open it cuz I want him to see what's inside and then say we'll re-open it 10 years from now....

What do you think of that idea???

Id put everything you have that symbolizes your first year!!! What about having a quilt made of pics or memorabilia? too much?

It's not a bad idea but I wouldn't know how to go about getting started with that.

I have been gathering a lot of stuff for the capsule and i think I wont' have room. LOL
