HONEST OPINIONS, please! Tom the travel agent suggested it for the honeymoon and I'm getting mixed reviews. People say the resorts are amazing and so is the food, but the town is bad....
OK so I actually lost 10 pounds while in Jamaica because I threw up off bad cominations of alcohol, food, and other lol!
But I was not a fan of the food. I stayed in the Wydham..exception of the Ritz. I remember I ate a Jamaican Beef Pattie from a shack on the road and it was the bomb...
In Mcdonalds their #2 is a Jerk Chicken special Love it!
McDonald's in Jamaica... I ♥ it!

I went to Negril about 5 years ago for spring break with a friend and I loved it!!! The weather was beautiful and the food was great!! We had so much fun!
I would just say don't really travel out of the main area by yourself unless you are with a tour. We didn't have any problems. The only thing was that it took 2 hours to get to our hotel, but besides that we LOVED it!
Oh and if you are not afraid of heights I'd say def jump off the cliff....it was so much fun, I did it twice!!!

i was also referred to couples swept away. so although i have nothin to offer.. this is a great thread... we're considering couples as well..

i heard its nice ......but you dont wanna venture outside the resorts over there, Its really not safe. I know 3 people who got robbed while on vacation

The one thing I hear all the time is that as 'all inclusive' Sandals is, Couples includes more!

i'm going there aug 21st- sept 1st . we're staying at couples negril for 5 nights then staying at couples swept for another 5 nights. couples swept away got voted most romantic resort in the caribbean for 2006! i'll write a nice long review when i get back.

I went to Couples Swept Away a few years ago and LOVED it! The people were the NICEST of any place I had ever travelled and I always felt safe. We went to Ricks and it was fun - I jumped off one of the smaller cliffs (like 15 feet or so) but other people were diving off the 50 foot cliffs! Fun!
The resort was very nice, service amazing, and I heard that they've done a lot of upgrades on the resort since I went, so it's even better now! For the most part we stayed in the resort because there's EVERYTHING there, but we did go out on a couple of excursions. We were NEVER asked to tip at the resort - I believe they didn't accept it when we offered! Not sure about outside of the resort.
