HONEST OPINIONS, please! Tom the travel agent suggested it for the honeymoon and I'm getting mixed reviews. People say the resorts are amazing and so is the food, but the town is bad....
I was there in May for 5 days, we stayed at the Sandels. We had a great time, only thing is the bus ride from Montego Bay was 1 hr and 30 minutes, i mean a nice drive but really longggggggggg. overall, the food was amazing, staff was amazing, and the resort was amazing. What more can you ask for? LOL Plus all inclusives are the way to go, no tips!

A M A Z I N G., are you going to Hedonism lol my cousin went there for her HM- Do Not ask.
I would recommend staying in Ocho Rios and visitng Negril.
Negril- must do...Ricks Cafe., CLiff diving., absolutley amaznig!
PS I stayed in Montego bay and traveled all over the place., I would also recommend..
They opened a main road now so you dont have to go through every town!

Thanks, a friend of mine said that her cousin was killed there.... someone slammed into them, stole their luggage and then, once they got on the road again, the taxi driver swerved to the wrong side of the road and killed 4 out of 5 people in the van... They said it's a scam down there in order to steal luggage from travelers...
sorry to be a downer, but I'm just curious if anyone that went there felt they were ever in danger.

I actually just hung out with the natives there..they took me to their homes....it was the best experience I had...I mean it was sad..but I had first hand knowledge of how they live....
I even hitchiked.

Re: Negril, Jamaica
i mean Rcks was fun but i think it was b/c we paid a fortune on the excursion which was just a 30 minute boat ride. Meanwhile there was a $10 bus that takes you there too. LOL

FH & I went to Couples Swept Away which is in Negril (not far from Couples Negril) and we had the best time. I can't rave about it anymore. It was an amazing place and I highly recommend it. It's bigger than Couples Negril. FM if you want to see my pics from November!
