I was just reading a post from the 08 board, about when it finally hits you that wow your getting married. Just reading these got me so nervous. I've never loved being the center of attention and for that one day I am going to be the center of everything. . I know when I get nervous I often feel sick to my stomach I really hope that doesn't happen to me. Does anyone else worry about the nerves? How are you going to deal with the jitters.

the way i saw it was that all eyes WEREN'T on me, they were on me and DH, so that helped me. I felt we shared the spotlight so thats why i was ok. Otherwise if i felt it was all on me then yeah i get weird

Same here! I freak out when I am in a room and everyone is looking at me. I can just hear their 'Judging' thoughts lol I hate that!
I am hoping I will be somewhat 'toasty' from all the alcohol I will be drinking, to not really care what anyone thinks that day. I will burst into the room with half my wedding dress off and one shoe on my foot and not give a damn!

I am actually fearful that I won't be able to calm myself down. I am afraid I won't be able to enjoy myself because I'll be so nervous. I have to stop thinking about this, because I am getting very nervous now.

The whole center of attention deal used to freak me out - now I'm like BRING IT ON!! I don't really think I'll have many jitters. Up until that day I'll have planned everything to the best that I could, so I'm going to try to just enjoy the day. Anything that happens that day is irrelevant (so long as the officiant show up!)- we'll be married so that's all that matters!

So funny. I find myself saying more often than ever 'we should have eloped'. I am nervous about everything. I actually have what I call 'wedding nightmares'. Something goes wrong, I am nervous about being sick from my nerves, or people not having a good time. The part I am most nervous about is the drive to the church. The church is 40 mins from my house that is a long time to sit there and think of 'what ifs', and I am going to be nervous about everyone looking at me.
Let me know what you are taking the night before, maybe I'll have to get some of that too. I know I won't sleep the night before, I don't sleep the night before Black Friday because I get so excited lol.

I agree! I think I'll be a nervous wreck with all that attention but I'm trying to tell myself that the wedding guests are all close family and friends so who cares if I say or do something silly! It's not like Im getting married in front of Brad Pitt and a bunch of A list celebs. It's my loved ones!
Ugh I do also worry that I'll be sick or won't have slept well for my wedding. I hate anxiety!!!

the only scary part was walking in. Not even to the ceremony because all you're really focusing on is your soon to be DH standing up there. The entrance into the reception scared me the most but it's a few seconds and then you have the first dance, also a little scary but then you enjoy you're night with your closes friends and family. Don't be scared.

I was very nervous about having everyone look at me too, but I ended up not even thinking twice about it at the wedding. I think you will be so excited that you probably won't even worry about it

I'm an acting teacher so you should all come over and we'll do some exercises.. but to start- you are going to feel so loved and so blessed that day! you will be married and enjoying your wedding celebration- nerves will be nothing against pure joy!

me too. i am really getting nervous over the church part. walking down the aisle, trying to not cry, trying to not faint, or shake. then i am nervous over the whole mass... I am afraid I will mess up. I am also extra nervous about my voice being broadcast to the whole church on the tiny microphones they use... ohhhh god. I get that sick feeling just picturing it...
