New Bride HELP! May 2016 Quotes
Hello Ladies!I just recently got engaged yay! and I am already overwhelmed! I want to start looking at venues ASAP. We want no more than 100 guests on a Sunday evening in May 2016. I was hoping to spend less than 75pp including all taxes and gratuities. Do you ladies think this is possible? And if you have any suggestions or quotes please feel free to send them my way! Thanks so much!

New Bride HELP! May 2016 Quotes
Congratulations!!! And welcome. The beginning process... yay! Several years ago a co-worker of mine had her wedding at The Snapper Inn. It was outdoor wedding and it was small and intimate. About 75 guests or so. I don't know what she paid but I do know the waterfront/nautical theme dream wedding she was going for came true. Now, I am completely bais for The Venetian lol but I don't know 2016 quotes. I can tell you what I am paying now but I also guaranteed 200 guests. I'm not sure if the prices have changed since last year when I booked them. The waterfront view is what sold us. Good luck, hope this helps.

To be honest, I think it is going to be very tough to find a place for less than $75(which is like less than $60 before taxes which is the number a lot of places give you) in May with 100 people. Most places have around a 100 person minimum even for Sundays and May is getting into prime wedding season.I am getting married May 2016 and I can send you my quotes when I get home later but they are no where near $75.
Maybe look into off season months? Sorry!

The Snapper Inn is expensive. I looked there with the same amount of people (about 80-90 ppl) and with their wedding package, it was about $130pp in May.Less than $75pp, if you want to go the traditional route with a catering hall, will be tough, especially with a minimum less than 100 people. It's crazy, I know. If you are not set on a day, you can get great deals on places during the week, since many catering halls don't have many weddings going on during the week.
I would look into these places. Some of these places will be more than your suggested $75, but their minimum number of people is low:
Miller Beach Surf Club
Three Village Inn
Irish Coffee Pub (my venue)
Captain Bill's
Meadow Club
Swan Club
Meditteraran Manor
A number of the Lessing's venues are pretty low priced too.
If you want to go the DIY route and rent a place like the Setauket Neighborhood House or the Bates House, you can bring in your own caterer and really save money. Both places are gorgeous.

You could try out the Riviera, they are pretty affordable and willing to work with you. They gave me a minimum of 90. The only problem is the month you picked...that's prime time so minimums and price might be higher. Perhaps changing the date would lower prices or go another route as mentioned and avoid catering halls. There's a farm in Queens that rents out space for a reasonable price if that's something you're interested in.

Last year at mansion at west sayville I was quoted $85pp for a Saturday afternoon wedding in May with a 50 person minimum, including taxes and fees. I know this is a little bit more than you wanted but that's the cheapest I've seen. Those were 2015 prices so they may have gone up.

What about doing an all inclusive sunday day wedding? Cottage at East Wind offers that and for 75-100 people its right in your price range.

Re: New Bride HELP! May 2016 Quotes
Also newly engaged! & I am starting this whole process as well! Our wedding will be 150-200 people. I was hoping I could get some quotes on pricing for the following venues. We are hoping to book our venue ASAP and are pretty flexible with months. We would LOVE a fall 2016 wedding (sept-nov) but we know that this is becoming more and more popular which increases the price. We are open to May, August & December as back up months. We would really like to stick to a Saturday night wedding.
So far, I would love to see:
1. Flowerfield
2. East Wind
3. Swan Club
4. Baiting Hollow
5. The Royalton
6. Soundview
7. The Vineyards
8. Driftwood Farms

I also have quotes for Timber Point if you're interested (but quotes were provided last May so the prices may have increased). For Feb/March, it will be close to your budget, based on the day and time (the most I was quoted for that time was $69pp plus taxes and fees). Some Lessings venues offer all inclusive packages as well based on 100 people.

We are doing a Thursday evening in May at the Riviera with a minimum of 80 guests, and are very very slightly over $75 pp. They include a lot of stuff as well

Look at East wind. They have a great all-inclusive package that would work with your head count. I would highly recommend Faith, she is one of the banquet managers there. You can use my name and she will definitely take care of you!! Good luck!

New Bride HELP! May 2016 Quotes
We just checked out Snapper (for Sept but I think they have May-Sept pricing) and they do have some 'non-wedding' packages that can be less expensive that they offered to us. They do have a 90-100 person minimum if you want one of the larger rooms but if you check out the 'special occasion' packages on their website you can get an idea of pricing. It might be a little over what you're looking to spend but I'd check them out. Also look at Miller Beach Surf Club, they're a tiny bit over what you're looking to spend but pretty affordable. They also provide pricing on their website! (These two are my front runners for now!)

Try Timber Point Mansion - I was quoted 65ish +tax +service fee for Sunday March 2016. If you're willing to go with a Sunday maybe you can get a quote in that ball park. The Winter Garden Pavilion at Fox Hollow for Sunday in March quoted 85 + tax only. Neither of these are less than 75pp, but not crazy far off either.

Swan club says they have space for 220 but you can't fit more than 150-175 comfortably. Their tables were covering a decent portion if the dance floor! The venue itself us gorgeous though!Welcome New Vendors
