New BTB Vs. Newlyweds.....

Man! This icon has caused more trouble than it is worth! Why has it not been removed as an option yet?
Give me one time that can be accepted as a positive response?

In another post, you wrote 'all the 05 girls'. I consider that getting lumped in with those who you are angry with, since to my knowledge, we have never had an argument.

I think part of the reason the rift continues to widen that grudges are held, and the same issue is brought up repeatedly, even after it subsides. Thats why I asked if we could move past these two things- b/c both 'all the 05 girls' comment and the rolleyes emoticon cae from really nice people who didn't mean to offend anyone.

i might have but i also said in later posts that i do LOVE a bunch of 05 and 06 girls and how a handful of idiots spoil the group

You are right grudges are held..but they usually fade and life goes back to normal and THEN ya get the dumb azz comment! THAT is when all that subsided resentment comes right back to the surface...

AND i will definately move past it...but it would be nice if the arse posts would stop on the board!

then i do believe the rift would disappear...

I mean really you do not see such posts on the NW board!

just would like to comment on this 6 page discussion!

i am one that mainly sticks to the 05 boards mainly because those are the people i'm most comfortable with, however, i honestly don't feel it's a whole btb vs. newlywed sort of atmosphere with the exception of a few posts and people...

i like the newlyweds because they seem to be the most helpful with questions i may have and are the girls that i was looking forward to seeing married when i first started posting on this site...bhb just doesn't do it for me!

I also feel like there is a rift and I hate it. I have to agree with the newlywed posters and say that whole WOTY comment was ridiculous. I am an 05er and I was at the WOTY and spoke to many NW people including Don, Boosh, Swags, Julz, Andrea, Jola, Wendy, etc. So when I read that comment I said to myself 'oh brother.' And she realized this was not a nice thing to say and she apologized in the thread. I did not feel intimiadated at all. Every single NW I spoke to was sweet and friendly. Also on that thread not one 05er agreed with her. I have met that poster and she is so nice and a teacher. So I hate to keep reading about her as if she is a horrible person when actually she is so nice and said somehing she shouldn't have. It just keeps getting brought up again and again. Then the next major issue was when Gail posted a link to the thread MrsWask posted about not wanting BTB answering questions that newlyweds post. She did not say she didn't want to help with the occasional question. She was only saying she didn't think it was right for non married people to be answering questions posed to married people. So I think she was just trying to tell the 05 board about the post because not everyone visits the NW board on a daily basis. She did not say anything negative at all. It was a post to say 'hey guys check this out..we shouldn't post on NW threads.' It was not mean spirited in any way. I can see though how NW's would be upset about that. Like you said it was kinda like ringing an alarm bell and it wasn't necessary. I have met Gail in person at a GTG and she wouldn't hurt a fly. So when I read posts about her as a drama causer I know she isn't. But like someone said until you have met someone you can't tell sometimes how they meant for a post to come across.

Hmmmm...what else did I want to address. Oh yea the losers that don't say thank you. I agree that if you help someone you should get a thank you. People who don't thank people are self absorbed and have no manners. I too have helped people and have not gotten a thank you. Guess what those specific people ask another question...sorry not helping.

So it is not an 05 vs. NW thing - it is a few 05ers vs. a few newlyweds. I hope those people who are upset and those that have caused the rift can work it out. I know I have gotten a ton of help from newlyweds with my wedding and also buying a house. That help has been so appreciated and the people who have helped me know it.

I plan to be on this board for a long time. Definiely way after my wedding. I love this site and talking to you all over the past year has been so much fun. So let's stop talking about the problem and start talking about a resolution (got that from Dr. Phil)

So newlyweds, what can the people who caused this rift do to make amends? There is so much crap going on in the world it is nice to come to a place where you can talk and have fun. Of course there are going to be 'spirited debates' from time to time but that is with any group of people.

So lets all be friends mmmkay?
