NEW COMER **Venue Help
Hello Ladies!! We are looking for a RH on LI that is not a 'wedding factory'.. Preferably 1 wedding at a time. My ideal wedding would be in a barn. But since we are planning this shindig in less then 8 months (looking at October 2013) the ala carte, DIY will not be happening and I do not want to spend the money on a wedding planner. We looked at Three Village Inn and LOVED the restaurant but did not like the reception portion of the facility
We have an appointment at Coindre Hall. We are looking to invite about 150. I love DeSeversky, Old Field Club and The Royalton but am scared that they will out of budget. HELP!!! Thanks

I was also looking for 1 wedding at a time. I'm booked at Thatched Cottage in centerport. Also check out the Riviera. That might have more of the 'barn' feel you're going for. Good luck!

Look into Flowerfield. They have one of the best reputations in the business. It's unfortunately not the 'barn' feel you may be looking for, but they are not a 'wedding factory'! They will cater to your every desire and design a day specifically for you ~ anything you want they will try to accommodate! Good luck and congrats! Oh yeah ~ and it's only 1 event at a time. You'll have the whole place to yourself!

Definitely check out The Riviera. It has that rather rustic feel you seem to be looking for, should accommodate the size of your party just about perfectly and is definitely among the more reasonable Long Island catering halls price-wise. It's also one event at a time.Good luck!

OFC offered me $125pp in December so I can only imagine in October it would be MUCH more. The Riviera offered me $82++ so with everything it would've been about $107 with the taxes and service fees. It IS rather rustic... and it was very pretty. We just didn't really care for the BM we met with and I also didn't care too much for the layout.
I recommend the Mansion at West Sayville. Its GORGEOUS and DEFINITELY within your budget! Steve the BM there is incredible and so accommodating! They also offer special pricing for the remaining 2013 dates!

It sounds like you like a mansion-feel too! In which case, I'd suggest the West Sayville Country Club. It's gorgeous there! IDK how many they can hold though.

They can hold up to 200. I have a GL of about 160!

Check out Timber Point! It's not a 'barn' feel but I think they'd be in your budget and they only do one wedding at a time.

This! My sister got married there two years ago, people are still raving about her wedding. Thinking about their food makes my mouth water... yum!

Riviera gives more of the rustic barn feeling, and they are very reasonably priced. I agree with katielynn, the BM just didn't wow me like the other places, although she is a very nice woman. Just seemed a little 'school-teacher'-y.Thatched Cottage had a beautiful outdoor area, and was also reasonably priced.
I agree about Three Village Inn. We didn't even stay to meet with the BM once we saw that we'd be getting married in the parking lot. For a winter wedding, it would be wonderful though.
A friend of mine just got married in August at Coindre Hall. We thought it was really pretty, with a very rustic feel. For my own personal opinion, I didn't like that tables were in one room and the dance floor was in another. (My grandparents are well into their 90s, and I want them to still be able to be part of the action on the dance floor even if they can't physically be on the dance floor.) But as long as you don't have a problem with it, the place was beautiful, and the food was really delicious too!

I second Floral Terrace. Everyone there is so nice and accomodating. Plus, you get a lot for your money.

Not sure how far east your looking but a friend of mine got married at Martha Clara Vineyards. It is definitely barn/rustic and they took care of everything for her.

How many people are you having at your wedding? Also where do you anticipate having out of town guests stay? I'm debating between the Thatched Cottage and another place and can't make up my mind.

Look at Stewart Manor Country Club. That's exactly what I love about it. It's not a typical hall at all. I think it may have the feel you're looking for.Welcome New Vendors
