I am not positive but I think you can fit 10 at the rounds and 12 at the ovals.

I think I'm going to do them, but does anyone know if bathrooms are shared for the different rooms? I am having my reception in the Garden terrace room...

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

Bathrooms as far as I know are shared with different rooms. I was the only wedding at my time so it wasnt an issue, but I have been to weddings there where there were two weddings or events going on, and on the first floor there is one bathroom for the reception rooms. There was a bathroom basket from the other party in the bathroom when I went in.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

Really? Only 1 bathroom? I know there's 1 upstairs.... and in the Garden Terrace, there's 1 hidden behind the bar, but I believe that one is smaller. I might have to make a little map for my guests, but I definitely plan on having a bathroom basket. People ALWAYS need the extras! I think I'll even put a small one in the men's bathroom with little things (deodorant spray, sewing kit, mints, etc.)

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

I am doing baskets for the ladies & mens rooms but I am in the new room and it will have it's own bathrooms so I don't have the issue of another wedding sharing the bathroom.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

I heard from earlier posts that they can credit you $100. I would assume that they would just give you something else instead if you asked. I hear that the bakery is really good though, so I didn't even think to ask.

When I went in to see them, I asked about bathroom baskets... which is probrably odd because I asked that, but not about candles... anyway, they don't really provide them, but you can definitely bring a basket and they'll put em out for you.

Maybe we should create a new thread? This one is getting really long/old.

Our contract says they will have the fee (few hundred $$) waived for a chocolate fountain in lieu of using their cake. They wouldn't refund any money.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

I just booked the new room 'The Somerley' for Feb 2012. Looked like a lot of construction still to be done. They told me it would be ready by the beginning of this summer.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

Hello ;.),

For the New room gals.

According to Bruce, my fiance and I are the first to be married (have the reception)in the Somerley room. My wedding date is on April 23rd. Christine, I see yours is after mine in the afternoon. Are you just as nervous? Although its pretty cool to be the first couple to marry there, it also frightens me because the construction is still going on. I almost feel they won't be done! A chandelier may fall or the walls may be still wet...hahahaha! I am not sure if any of you saw the mock video of the room. If not, google Somerley youtube or look for one of my postings. I am still frightened by the whole thing. I hope they are more than ready by then. Bruce said they have put up french doors and are building the fireplace now. When I expressed my worries, he said there was nothing to fear. He said the room will be ready and their project has been something they have been working on, full force. Sadly, Frank no longer works there. I had no idea that our BM was gone. When I asked a representative if Frank was around, I got a icky response. I hope he left for positive reasons

I can't be positive, but I don't see why it would be a problem. They usually only have 2 weddings at a time and they are on oppositve sides of the building.

I'm a month before you and I haven't heard from them yet about this. I'm going to be in touch with them soon.

The cake tasting though you do through Francesco's in Hicksville...you can take care of that separately when you're ready.
