ANything over 220 attending my parents will have to pay for. We just cannot afford it. Thank God my parents will do this for us. I don't know what I would be doing.

money wise that is just so hard!

if FH and I had more space and of course more money I would have loved a bigger wedding. I feel so bad cutting people on the guest list. I'm going to a friends wedding 6 days before mine and a good friend from high school will be going to hers and not to mine. I feel so bad but I just don't have the room. We have a max. of 150!!

wow...I have 275 and was freaking out! You never realize how many people you really know until all this wedding planning!

I wish that I had a guest list total. I have my part of the list completely done . FHJ's parents are divorced and my FMIL has sent me her list. But I have been waiting forever for my FFIL to give me his list.

That's High!! My guest list was at 226 so we had to cut it down.

Yikes Vita...but on a positive note..you are blessed to be surrounded by sooo many people that love you and want to share in your day

I'm at 248 (including vendors)! I'm going to make a big effort to cut it down by at least 20 this weekend.

I feel your pain, but like Nina said...I guess on a positive note we're blessed to have so many ppl. in our lives that we want to share our day with.

Our guest list is currently at 425!!! Fh's family is huge and we have tons of friends so it's hard to cut ppl.

WHOA WHOA!!!! that's nuts... no offense... :)

I really think you should look at your list again... having just gone through it, your day goes SOOO fast. with 319 people you are going to have NO time to enjoy your wedding... we had 170 guests (I have a very large family...it would have been higher, but many are overseas and only a few friends and NO people from work were invited...luckily FH has a very small family.) But even with 170 guests we still spent almost 2 hours going around to each table and greeting people. (You have to mingle with your guests!

your day goes so fast and it's so special do you realyl need all those extra people...

you may have a large family and that may explain your large number..... but if your parents are inviting all their colleagues from work that you dont' even know, your FMIL is inviting her book club, etc. , your inviting people because you don't want to hurt thier feelings, and you're inviting everyone and their mother with a guest, it's not worth it. you will regret it because you won't have enough tiem to spend the day with the people you really want to spend it with....
