My friend just told me about this site after I got engaged on Christmas Eve
I'm excited to get started on planning the wedding, but have no clue where to start... I'd assume location would be first - to firm up a date?

Congrats and welcome!!! All the ladies here are extremely nice and helpful! The first thing you should do is figure out a budget, after that figure out the type of wedding you would like to have...waterfront mansion, vineyard etc.. and that will help you narrow down places to look at. Good luck with everything!!

I woudl say start w Church if you getitng married in the catholic church. a lot of times they give you a problem if you book venue first.
Then its venue time!! Good luck, the ladies on here are super helpful!

Ugh - budget. I think that's the one thing I'm terrified to even think about!

Also before you look for a venue make a guest list rough draft because most venues will ask about how many people you are looking to have.
